What PKI "Really" Needs.

I think he got sick of looking at Posiden's Fury across the way.. which needs to be converted to a dark ride or an indoor coaster of some sort.... It's got the right name for a coaster already..

I'd agree with Epcot having good fodd, but as a park chain, Disney doesn't cut it.

However, a trick that works at Disney parks, as well as most other chains it to find out if the park has a full service restaurant. (Not a buffet, not a cafeteria), generally the food at the full service restuarants will be pricey but will be of much higher quality food than the joints on the midways. Epcot scores highly in that a large portion of the food service is a ethnic restuarants which are quite nice, but also means they serve food that isn't mass produced at the WDW factory and warmed up for you at the stand..

Shoot lets face it EPCOT may have the best in-park food at a Disney park, followed up by the resort hotels. (Treat yourself to the character breakfast at the Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club Resort)

Disney World is the biggest wonder of the amusement park universe, and most people here just ignore it, because 1. They're into it mainly for the coasters and 2. They really just don't realize what the scope of the place is. I've eaten in about half of the hotels on property, and every one of the major resorts is an attraction in and of itself. That's the magic of Disney. If you don't like the food in the park itself (and there's usually at least one place worth to eat in the parks) then just hop on a boat, or monorail, or bus, or whatever and you have a ridiculous amount of places to eat right at your finger tips.

For anybody that's not too familiar with Disney World (and trust me, most of you aren't) then books like this one

are extremely interesting reads, even if you don't plan on staying at WDW anytime soon, although if you are really looking for an amusement park vacation, and not just a little amusement park trip, I highly reccomend it. Esepecially if you can stay at The Grand Floridian or The Wilderness Lodge or any of the other high end or even middle of the road options. Its worth the money if you want to get away for a good length vacation.

Hmm, I'll admitt that my Disney food experience outside of Epcot is many-MANY years old. I guess I just assumed that the food would be good across the board (I still think that it is...)

But why would anybody go to a park and NOT eat at a full service restaurant if they had a choice? This is a(nother) place where I differ from the average enthusiast. I treat my park visits like vacations not invasions. I like to be at least mildly pampered. I would DARE go to a Disney/Universal/Busch park without looking for a Sitdown place. If you just want to grab a burger, it's likely better to just head out to BK :)

Everyone talks about PKI having terrible food. I for one completely disagree. How come potatoe works gets rated the #1 french fries every year?
