what is your favorite darkride?

Kingdom of the Dinosaurs at KBF, too bad they screwed it up
Kennywood's Old Mill (100 years young) and Noah's Ark (before the '96 renovations).
I like the Disaster Transport. Seance you don't call that a dark ride, that is the darkest ride I have rode.
Not one mention of either Space Mountain Paris or it's sister ride Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. They are the most amazing indoor coasters around, especillay space mountain; huge asteroids, planets stars and ambient lighting. There is also a superb space-themed soundtrack that plays in the cars. It may be a vekoma ride, but it is in my opinion better than any of Florida and Europes B&M coasters and I must have ridden them 100's of times (55 on Dragon Khan!). Maybe I prefer the theming to the speed and airtime, but they rank amoung the best in the world.
Is the Rokin/ Roller Coaster a n exact copy of Space Mountain in Disneyland Paris?
Does anyone know what I a talking about when I say darkride? I am talking about, walkthrough rides like funhouses, huantedhouses, Noah's Arks: KW , Old McDonalds Farm, and such. Also, slow moving rides like, pirate rides, spook houses, and
Tunnels of Love. Pirate Ride at CP (died in 97), Phantom Theater at PKI. Rides that have scence, lights, suprises, animatronics, etc. Not rollercoasters in a building, or just ride with little lighting. If that was true, then I could call my bedroom a darkride when I turn off the lights. I think this is due to the fact that real darkride are an endangered species. Many people have never experienced them.

ZEPPELIN RULES
Lesser known dark ride i really like:

Haunted Plantation at SFOG.

Two for me Rockin Rollercoaster if you count coasters and Dudley Do-Right's log flume at IOA if you count that but you should because your inside the whole ride exept the final drop
Hmmm... I haven't been through many dark rides, but I'll say... Noah's Ark at KW, and the Devil's Den/Dr. Moriairty's(sp) Wild Ride/Devil's Den (I know its cheesy, but its CLP people)

Dinosaur at Walt Disney's Animal Kingdom. It is awesome. Has anyone besides me ridden it?

Also, a word about the Smurf Ride at PKI. I was about 4 or 5 when i rode that, but for some reason it really scared the crap outta me. Phantom Theather really isn't that good. Good source for cool air during the summer months in the park, though. Also good for a few laughs. We always tell jokes to the Maestro and for some reason he always laughs. It's the same old Chicken Crossing The Road joke too.

If it can be counted as a dark ride, Hershey's Chocolate World has gotta be the greatest...
...Mmmmmmmm

Ya know, I couldn't stand chocolate before I went to Hershey for the first time. When I was there, I bought about 10 wholesale boxes of Hershey Bars.

You know I didn't really care for this ride very much. Most of the ride was in almost complete darkness and it seemed like lots of just bumping around for me. I think Spiderman at IOA is a much better example of how good a ride like this can be.

I have rode it and it is an awesome ride. I like the older version. It was called "Coutdown To Extinction". But they changed the title to Dinosaur because of the Disney Movie.:(

Someone asked about the difference betwwen Space Mountain Paris and Rock 'n' Rollercoaster.
I will be blunt: Space Mountain is far superior, although the Rock 'n' Rollercoaster is faster.
The differences:
Space Mountain: Has a 45 degree 40mph catapult launch in side of a huge moving cannon which spurts smoke at balst off (The cars stay still on the inlcined track before the launch). The ride has a sweeping track through asteroids and planets, lit with a dark blue light - In a word - dreamy! The music in the cars is perfect and fits the ride - It is slow and calm at the beginning but as soon as you launch it goes faster and jumpier. It has a vertical loop, a corkscrew and a cutback, and the cars and the entire mountain are done out like something from Jules Verne as the ride is themed to his book: From the Earth to The Moon.

Rock 'n' Rollercoaster: 60mph catapult launch into a sea-serpent roll through (un-inspiring) hollywood scenery (pales in comparision to the mountain). Also has one corkscrew and music by Aerosmith that is good but does not suit the theming as well as Space Mountain's ambient soundtrack.

It's obvious which is better, but they are both great dark rides. If you havent experienced Euro-Disney - you'll be suprised; they have Space Mountain and Rock 'n' Rollercoaster there plus a really cool Indianna Jones Intamin looper.
In short Disneyland Paris=Best Disney Park.
(Interesting Point - Disney does not own or run Disneyland Paris - A French bank and some other French Companies own it; probably vinaries or winebars!) *** This post was edited by Iron Wolf on 6/11/2001. ***
Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland. That one is longer than the one at Disneyworld.
Umm.. aren't you guys forgetting Spiderman at IOA!! It blows all of these rides away. I mean please, it is awesome!!!!
