What is up with the IAAPA news ?

I thought we would get complete coverage. We have not seen complete coverage. We did not even get an update on the 16th. and today is the last day of it !!
And what about the pictures ?  Last year there were a bunch of pics, but there no even 20 so far. And Will any more be posted ? and will there be any pics of  B&M's booth ? That is the entire reason I am keeping up with this convention, is to see pics of B&M's booth, and if they will have the trains for AIR on display ?
So Jeff, will there be any more pics posted up of the convention ?

Jeff has said that he is back home in Cleveland now because there was not much new at IAAPA this year and it was nowhere near as good as last years. Don't bash him for less coverage, as it is not his fault that the show had less.
Yeah Jeff whats going on with this coverage, will there be any videos or not?

I would like to know what Premier had on display.
The only thing I wanted to see was the B & M booth, and where is it? People don't care if there is anything new or not, people just wanna see what's happening down there..
i am also curious if proslide was there with their new water slide concepts.

Apparently you didn't read the coverage that was there, because your B&M question has been addressed several times.
Dang, That does seem boring compared to last year. I don't blame Jeff for going back home.  Sorry Jeff.
Sheesh.. I STILL can't believe some of you little crybabies...

If you don't like the coverage, go book a flight down to florida and see it for yourself, but don't complain what WE are doing to serve YOU....

Shall we start the countdown?

I aggree that the complaints are a little unnecessary, but this isn't complete coverage.  as for going down there myself I'd love to, but isn't it for industry people and ACE members?  I don't mind there not being coverage at all of it, but complete coverage was promised.  I just hope that the rest of the interviews will be place up soon.

Dont call us "crybabies", we are just asking for what was offered to us.

You un-appreciative jerk, that show isn't for you, it's for the Amusement Industry. I, for one, thank Jeff for getting us those interviews when he didn't even have to. You guys are crybabies if you think you "deserved" any coverage.

Dang, I did'nt mean it like that, I mean't that we were told we would get complete coverage, and we were expecting more than we got, that is all. I am not an unappreciative jerk ! I just expected a little more. I mean I did'nt know that the convention was worse than last year, I did'nt go, If I did, this topic would have never been posted.  See What I am saying now ?

Not really. It's for industry people, and ACE members happen to be allowed in. That may seem like picking nits, but in actuality it's a HUGE difference. The show does not cater to ACE members AT ALL, and in fact many of the manufacturers would probably be happier if random ACE people were NOT allowed in.

As for the coverage, Jeff's already said that if you want more complete coverage, just look at last year's pictures, because it's mostly the same stuff :)

thanks Greg, I didn't know the admission rules of it or anything.

is it really that bad that last year's coverage is more than enough?  that's pretty pathetic.  I can understand if the exhibits were made after Sept. 11 because the industry would be down and the chances of people buying a ride would be less so the companies would put less money into an exhibit, but logic would say that these things would be dreamed up before that.  if things were cut back later I could understand, but if you already put the money into the exhibits then why not just go through with it?

as for non-industry people being there, I can see their point of view.  but one thing that all non-industry people should do while there is pressure B&M into making a web site :)

It's not that it was any worse than last year, it's just that many companies didn't have anything new...they just had the same displays. There were a few exceptions including S&S, PTC, Setpoint, etc.

Which part of my statements regarding the lack of things to report was unclear? I'm just as disappointed as everyone else, but that's life.

If it isn't good for you or it's not complete, read last year's coverage. It's all the same stuff. Where there were new things to talk about, I went after it. Yeah, I've seen photos of the Kraken car at the B&M booth before... two years ago. It's all the same stuff. Why would I publish the same stuff two years in a row?

Get back to me when you find another site with the interviews and stories we had... Will Koch, Fred Bolingbroke, Stan Checketts, Fungee, Over the Top, etc. Anyone can go to a show and take photos. I chose not to because I did it all last year.

And that gets me on another sore spot. A bunch of Web site folks were at the show this year, making a serious nuisance of themselves and asking the question that they shouldn't: What are you building for who, next. Bad idea.

IAAPA is a trade show, where buyers and sellers come together, announce new product and show people what's in the pipe. Hundreds of millions of dollars of business is conducted or initiated at this show. It is not an enthusiast event or a place to bother vendors with stupid questions that they can't answer. It has nothing to do with ACE or any other club, other than the fact that ACE is an exhibitor.

If you're looking for something more you'll be sorely disappointed, because there isn't anything more.

Jeff, you truly dissapoint me.  All friggin year you were hyping up IAAPA saying "You guys won't beleive what we have in store for you this year!  It's gonna be the best!"  But what the hell is this crap?!  Barely any photos!  That is pure bull!  You don't even have a picture of RoboCoaster by Shwarzkopf!  What the hell is wrong with you?!  Making us all excited just to put us down in the dirt like that.  I can't speak for everyone, but you have really dissapointed me this time around.
