What is the big event in the amusment industry?

I saw Them when I was a graduate student. It was a great show.

Don't call them old!

Of course, they're older than they've ever been.

And now they're even older! *** Edited 5/11/2006 3:38:24 AM UTC by Brian Noble***

This just in: TMBG is even older now ;)
What's the big announcement? She's actual size, but she seems much bigger to me...

Um, nevermind.

I think Jeff is having a kid.

Ok not really but I thought that was a big event.

Let's shoot us some deer Joe Joe!!!!

I'm having a kid. But I'm not sure the amusement park industry is going to be rocked by that news.

Yes, Jeff. This is your dominion. You are the king. That is the great thing about America. Sometimes I wonder about the people of this land. Their complaints and gripes howl like the winds. If they don't like this island than what is the point of staying?

TMBG also does the theme song for the Disney Channel's "Higglytown Heroes" (those of you with munchkins should know this one....)

If you have kids, and you like Them, you must buy a copy of "No!"

"Here Come the A B Cs" is a good DVD, too.
The last time I remember Jeff hinting at "big amusement industry news", CCI went out of business two weeks later.

(And yeah, someone already made that point on page 1 of this thread. Duh me.) *** Edited 5/12/2006 7:13:15 AM UTC by bit0mike***

Hmmmm, I kinda think that this "big news" involves a certain chain that's hosting SpringCon...

Which one, you guess....MFI isn't in a chain, right? ;)

that narrows it down... :)

SpringCon 2007 was announced long ago.
Jeff leaves us hanging for a week and the podcast is late. :)

I can assure that this week's podcast doesn't mention the 'big event' at all...not even in passing.

Perhaps the "big event" is not the paramount concern that Jeff is dealing with right now. With all of the attention on this new ride maybe the other news is going to stay in the closet a while.
Hmmm...

Six Flags or Paramount? ;)

Bold is mine, for emphasis....wondering if that word was chosen intentionally... ;)

The news is that Cedar Fair bought the podcast.

Just kidding.

That's too bad. I was looking forward to the TALLEST PODCAST IN THE WORLD.

*Ride on* Jeff.
