What is CP up to?

Nothing says excitement like pictures of dirt!

But this excitement brings hits to your site! Rejoice!!

This can't be a 4D cosater, or any coaster for that matter (unless it's a wild mouse sort of thing). The reason being is that we would see more markers and paint all over the place, and track would have arrived sometime this month. Land would be moved and trees would be gone. It's not going to be a roller coaster.

As for 2007, we'll just have to wait and see...

Oh, does anyone have any drawing of what Intamin's "ball coaster" will be like?

Whatever they are building, it will only make the park better IMO. A Screaming Swing would be great because they are fun to ride and the lines tend to move pretty quickly. Maybe besides the swing CP might build a family coaster to keep the count up, wo knows.

tears are just as good as sweat
I've heard that Valleyfair! and Cedar Point are suppost to get the same attractions next year, 40 seater Screamin Swings.

This ride is basically confirmed at Valleyfair!, besides the park announcing it. They have already taken out Northern Lights and have cleared the land and begun digging holes for footers. How big do the footers need to be for this ride? There are two large square holes about 6 feet apart about 9x9 feet each. Does that sound right for a large Screamin Swing? Anyone know? *** Edited 9/18/2005 11:00:48 PM UTC by VF***

On the latest OnPoint post, they mentioned something big and blue and arriving on a flatbed. Blue Screamin' Swing? Or something else? Thoughts?

I have to laugh at the people who comment on the blog, thinking that "Tony & Tyler" are really investigating this new ride.

I really hope they replace WWL with a fresh modern flume ride. I have been all about this idea for both GL and CP after riding the Florida flumes. They could theme it with Snoopy's unkle, forget his name. :)

I think it may be a launched Intamin Aquatrax. Water ride, possibly themed like a western blast ride. Sounds cool to me but I am probably wrong! :) It's fun to guess!

Well whatever it is, its BIG. How do I know? I saw blue construction markings on Perkins Avenue. That's at least 5 -7 miles from CP!! So I'm guessing 1500 ft tall and 14 miles long.

I am so there opening day next year!!!!!! :)

You've figured it out!

Roller Coaster Mass Transportation to CP's New Park!

Maple Point

Heh, good one tambo =)
Who says that a Screaming Swing is definately the only thing they are getting? Just because they try and persuade you to only get worked up about a single attraction doesn't mean they won't throw something at us out of nowhere down the lines.

Just a thought.
