I was thinking that CP and GL would be getting them to replace Hydes and Demon Drop. But thats just a guess.

I think the new 4D will go out into the lake from the parking lot by Gemini and through Magnum and back, so CP will have the record for best parking lot coaster, best coaster to go into a lake, best coaster to go through Magnum, and best coaster because I said so. I don't care what any of you haters say.

Well, to me it looks like they are getting a coaster. That's way too much dirt to cover up a Screamin' Swing IMO. (especially considering relative size of the paths in the picture)

I find it hard to believe that we'd get all the way to the middle of September w/o any real rumors, but that just seems like too much hype for a damn swing.

I guess they know what they are doing, but why would the park build a new ride so similar to the one they built the previous year?

It just seems to me to be a rumor aimed to misdirect people...but what do I know, really.

Again, why would Knott's build La Revolucion (same ride caliber as maXair, except smaller) in 2003 and follow it up in 2004 with Screamin' Swing?

MrX,

They're not building a new coaster for next season. You don't have to wait long if you don't believe though, they're announcing within a week.

OMG I have a new sig!!!

^Oh I don't doubt that. I never really thought they would add a coaster next year. 2007 seemed more like it.

But looking at the picture I just feel like there is something more than a Screaming' Swing. What do you need overhead layout shots of a Screamin' Swing for? :P (at least that's what the picture looked like to me) Maybe it's some sort of family attraction or a new section...something along those lines.

Just a guess though. I don't know anything about CP and don't really care too much. :P Just something fishy about that picture.

Well, Cedar Point wouldn't be the first park or company to overblow the marketing of a new attraction, movie, etc. that you wouldn't necessarily think deserved as much. Check out every single thing PKI does and the marketing of The Skeleton Key and The Exorcism of Emily Rose as horror movies (as opposed to a mystery/suspense and courtroom drama). Good marketing is probably more important than the attraction itself. See: KBF recent marketing or lack thereof. If not for good marketing, the only other thing that will help over time is word of mouth. See: Holiday World and Wedding Crashers.

+Danny, it's still a Screamin' Swing

But Danny 'You know as much as the rest of us, and none of us know for sure that it is a Screamin Swing'. ;)

Over the past couple of weeks I have compiled some pictures on my website. Some of these are duplicates of what others have posted, but many are new too.

Dippin Dots Rule! Their just to darn expensive. $5 for 8oz. It puts Ben & Jerry's or Hagendaz pricing to shame.

Hey, my brother ran a Dippin' Dots cart at Busch Gardens for awhile. The reason they cost so much is that they need special freezers kept at around -30 degrees at all times.

If I had an amusement park, I would run around painting lines and dots everywhere to watch people photograph them and figure out what "the next big thing" is going to be. ;-)

I want to say that arrow past the employee entrance, behind the Mean Streak gate house, was there all season. I could be wrong.
