My head spins at the amount of topics covered in such a short 8 hours.
'Playa.. I changed my pic because I heard in October, "Wow, Jess, you should make that your profile picture!" Then I got called a Barbie Thug and more recently, Pink Snowbunny. I also like it because I can see a major portion of my house, which is unfortunately not there anymore, along with that pink shirt and the pink hoodie.
Since I'm still catching up, I think I'm one of the only chicks that I know who doesn't really have a thing for *chick flicks.*
To those who think this discussion is pointless: Get over it already. If there is one person who has needed to laugh a little bit, its me. These people have been quite successful in doing so, and I thank them... again.

Fine, I was wrong. You've surfed the site for a year and you don't like off-topic posts with inside jokes.
Look, here are the facts you're going to have to deal with: I and 99.99% of the members of Coasterbuzz contribute to ongoing discussions on rollercoasters. Many of us also, at times, post irrelevant, sometimes humorous posts that may include inside jokes. I am not about to change my behavior for anyone except Jeff, who runs this site, and I feel safe to say that no one else is going to cater to you either.
Jeff might get mad at me for possibly running off a member but dude you either gotta deal with the way this site is or go find a better forum to participate in. I can guarantee you two things:
1] These is no better forum than Coasterbuzz.
2] All other forums are the same and have people who tell inside jokes and have off-topic threads.
Seems to me no matter how you slice it, you're screwed.
Here's a little piece of irony for you: by posting in this thread you're participating in an off-topic discussion, the very thing you're whinning about.
Here's an idea -- leave this thread to those of us who wanna have a little fun and go participate in the Twin Groves Park thread, the Mountain Flyer thread, and the many, many other threads in which serious coaster discussion is happening right now! Or better yet, start your own topic.

Now I know why I didn't come back for a long time. Yes, there are tons of other forums better than Coasterbuzz, I think I'll go surf them. See, they have these great thing called Off Topic forums for crap like this. And you know what? I enjoy it there, because it's GENERAL TALK, it's meant to be off topic and not related, but since Jeff is so opposed to this, all the other trash gets mixed in with intelligent conversation.
And here's some irony for you: you're the one who says keep this topic for those of us who want to have some fun, but yet again you've ruined the initial topic with trash that has nothing to do with the original topic. Go start at page 1 and look at the first post, then respond with something intelligent and worthwhile reading.

Fine, I lied. I'm not done dealing with you yet. OK, you made the accusation, now lets look at the facts.
I was the 18th person to post in this thread. My first post contained ONE single line of humor, the rest was a serious reply to the initial post. Wanna refresher? Here is is:
I can't remember how the whole M:TR joke got started and to be honest there have been moments where I wished it would just go away, especially when a "less skilled" jokester tries to be funny.
The whole practice of "hijacking" - especially by the CPG - began in threads we knew would be closed. Rarely would we make fun of someone we didn't know. Rather the 5 of us [Bass, chris, Nasai, 'Gator, and me] would insult each other, but we do it with a wink and a smile because we know underneath it there is love and friendship. I admit we do hijack legit threads at times, and sometimes its completely unintentional. However were we not contributing our thoughts and opinions on-topic as well I can see how someone could argue we make C-buzz a worse place to be.
What it boils down to is this: it's Jeff's site. He doesn't seem to mind, so why should anyone else? Its understood among the five CPGers that if Jeff were to say "stop it!" we would. None of us would intentionally do anything to hurt this site.
Oh...and here's one humorous line:
