Gas samples huh? Hey come pull my finger! LOL, sorry i couldnt resist. Well I spend the majority of my time telling lawyers that they are wrong. I'm a patent examiner for the US Patent and Trademark Office, examining the printed circuit board (PCB) arts. I am considering grad school in MechE.

The USPTO... speaking of bastards. ;) What does it take to get a trademark pushed through without an army of lawyers?

RandyHutchinson: I had a feeling I would catch some flak from that statement. Well, if your company was bought out while you were a jr. in high school, you are obviously NOT a hack. My experience with freelance web design was not fun. Once a client (usually a small buisness) would find out how much a quality looking site (complete with custom logos, drawings, designs, blah, blah, blah) from scratch would cost them, they would just find someone else willing to make them a crappy site, for almost nothing, or for free.

A wing and a prayer (LOL). No seriously, I'm not too familiar with the trademark side of things (our paths rarely cross). But if you want to learn about the "do it yourself" approach, goto the manual of trademark examining procedure (http://www.uspto.gov/web/offices/tac/tmep/) and pay particular attention to chapters 100, 200, 800, and 1100. Those
should give you the basics. Feel free to ask for further help if needed.

I am a full time freshman at Millersville Univ. located outside of Lancaster, PA; and I'm going to be a transfering sophomore this coming fall to West Chester Univ. outside of Philly.
During the summer, I am one of four supervisors in a food stand (near the Wild Mouse) at Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom.
I'm a full time Junior at the University of Alabama in Huntsville majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
During the summers I work at an engineering firm here in Huntsville. Not much time for coaster trips, but hopefully that will change once I graduate. (yeah right!) Fortunately for the trips I do take I can con my parents into paying for them. ;)

I am a sophomore in college and am currently studying marketing. I have several things lined up for this upcoming summer, one of which might be a job working in the Marketing Department at Cedarpoint. I have had several phone conversations with Bill Stockwell, the head of marketing over at CP, so that seems to be exciting. I also have the luck of living about a half an hour away from the Philadelphia Toboggan Company, so I have the option of getting my foot in the door there. Other than that, I tend to let my coaster frustrations be placed on the back burner with beer.

Cedarfair is good
I work for Corey Inc. A 1 person company that does nothing lol. This past summer I worked at Cedar Point as a ride op on Snake River, but was fortunate enough to work on the CCMR, MF, and Maggie.

First of all, I want to congratulate Coasterpunk on giving us another great thread! Since, I met him in July, his threads have been outstanding, thanks again...
What do I do? I'm a math and social studies teacher. Using math and history is great to teach my unit on Roller Coasters in the spring. "Enter: Deuce Bigalow sound here...'Freak!'" I use physics and calculus for the engineering part and history of Amusement parks/ entertainment to complete the 2 week unit. The kids go crazy for it!! I am also an assistant manager of a landscaping firm in the summer, which gives me the cash to buy season passes and bump up the track record.
BTW: Catherine: if you read this, I'm a grad of EMU. Is the Wooden Nickel still a haven for green beer and sloppy drunks??
And Jeff, this is just to waste more bandwidth!! But, I did, however, check a few sponsers to help pay for it!!
