What coaster has the steepest drop in the world?

I am thinking Mr. Freeze that drop is huge and it's all Vertical.

Can we change the name of Top Gun to your mom so no one wants to ride your mom?

Would all those who can honestly tell the difference between 87.5, 88.5 and 90 please raise your hands?

Thank you.

Not me, 85 degrees feels strait down to me. Ultra Twister rules! :)

TOGO!
Hypersonic and Dodonpa have more vertical time then 2 and 5 feet.

88 coasters in Track Record!! Hypersonic XLC Coaster # 100 in July.
Nitro Laps:105
B+R Launches:28

Here's a really obvious one Gravity Max at Discovery World in Taiwan. It's the Vekoma Cliffhanger or "Tilt Coaster" with a 90 degree drop.
I think it's gravity max, but xcelkerator's got a 200 foot vertical descent and accent and i think vekoma doesn't build above 196 feet.
i think xcelerator takes the cake forr the continuous circuit coaster with the largest vertical drop. i don't consider a backwards drop to be vertical.

OK, so X is 88.5 degrees, which is less than 90 right? BUT... chew on this. While decending that 88.5 degree drop, the riders are not facing foreward, they are facing backwards. (stay with me on this, kids) Which means they are not 1.5 degrees less than 90, but 1.5 OVER 90, for a total of 91.5 degrees.

Does this make ANY sence to anyone else... or am I the only one who sees this?

Uhh, cough cough PREMIER COASTERS cough

We're forgetting about Speed the ride, Mr. Freeze, and Batman the Chiller. They all have 90 degree drops.

How much more floorless can they get?

I suscribe to Amusement Today, and they said that they're building a new coaster (I'm not sure what park) called Tsunami, and it has a 90 degree lift hill and a 95 degree drop. It looks pretty cool, and it has single car trains.

I love roller coasters, and I need psychiatric help. Or a roller coaster.

Some of you guys should read the whole tread before you post stuff that has already been acknowledged.

I also think Mr. Freeze and Speed have vertical spikes, while Chiller does not. That 95* Gerstlauer drop looks awesome, but is that vertical lift launched, elevator, or chain?

My two favorite coasters are named Superman.

Batman Chiller has the vertical drop in the top hat.
