Villain at SFWOA

First of all I must admit that the Villain has one of the craziest drops ever with about 100 head choppers. But I was wondering, does it have trick track? I couldn't really tell because of how fast we went over it.
Yes there is a trick track right after the 2d drop. It does go too fast to notice it though.

The only way you notice the trick track is how the train bounces through that straight section after the second drop. It's not the smooth tilt to the right like it used to be.

I've never ridden Villan, but I know that Boulder Dash has a trick track and it isn't the least bit noticeable.

Thanks guys.

If before you go down the second drop you look at the stretch of track close enough you can can kinda see the trick track. Or if you walk along the path outside the park that goes right by it I'm sure you'd be able to see it then.

Six Flags, the only chain of parks that can manage to have stacking with a one train operation.

The trick track is still pretty noticable IMO, although nothing like it used to be.

The Villain was one of the worst wooden roller coasters I've ever ridden. I was completely stunned because it was CCI ride, and I was expecting at least a very decent ride. The park's own Big Dipper was better than The Villain...

I think it's a pretty sweet ride kRaXLeRidAh. But you are right....most people would probably usually think CCI would design something better.

Corey

No way! Villain is awesome! I know different people like diiferent things, but how could you hate that ride. It was non-stop thrills!
kRaXleRidAh: U have got to be kidding. The Villain is by far one of the best wooden coasters out their. The air time is crazy and the Lateral G's are insane. This ride is by far one of the best wooden coasters on the planet!

Some people must like it if it made #19 on the Golden Tickets. :)

What do you guys think about those head choppers on this ride. I personally think that they are AWESOME!

Corey

The Villian is my second favorite wooden coaster, right under Thunderbolt and over the Beast. With that said, I didnt feel the trick track at all either. The head choppers scared the crap out of me. I had my hands up at the top of the first drop, but half way down i was ducking. It was intence and i loved it.

For those that haven't ridden much out of the Ohio area, then of course you would think The Villain is top notch considering all you have around there is Mean Streak, Blue Streak, and Raging Wolf Bobs. Well, of course there's The Beast, and his son, but honestly...

The ride was incredibly rough and shaky, poor pacing, horrible trains, lame headchoppers, unimpressive track layout, and just overall disappointing. GhostRider makes this ride look like it came from the gutter.

I agree with most of what you said, but I do think that this ride has a killer layout (except for the slow turnaround). If this ride wasn't so PAINFUL (arrghh Gerstlauer!), it would be incredible. Now the whole ride is just one shaky, jolting, and rough mess. Another great job in maintaining rides Six Flags!

I live in California and I think it is almost as good as Ghostrider. I would have to say the Villain in one of the best CCIs ever. The trains are not the best but not horrible. Haven't done Shivering Timbers yet but I assume that won't kill my liking of the Villain either.

How funny phantoms_revenge_rules, the Thunderbolt is my #1 too!

Only got to ride it one day in early summer '01...we were surprised at how well BD ran, and Villain too. If not for the single-train op on Dipper, I could've ridden it ALL night! Villain THEN was still a great ride, smooth, FULL of air, and FAST...doesn't sound like it's held up too well...:(

Villain used to be my favorite ride in the park. In 00' it was definately the best ride there, but the past 2 years i havent liked it at all. It has gotten so rough that i cant even enjoy the air that it provides, it just hurts now. I've liked Big Dipper atleast 5x better the past 2 years, as my favorite wood in the park.

Riding Ghostrider this year didn't help the Villain out either. Ghostie was my first CCI other than Villain, and it's by far my favorite woody, even over The Beast. Villain and Ghostie have pretty much the same layouts too, so it just goes to show at how bad Six Flags maintains woodies, and how sweet PTC trains are. I hope they get some PTC trains on Villain, but I'm not sure if it'd even be safe with all of the insane airtime. You just can't feel it because of the Gerstlauer.

Villain and Ghostie are the same layouts? You must have had a GOOD weekend, lol.... Ghostie undoubtedly gets MUCH better maintenance, and the overbuilt structure I'm sure provides a LOT of reinforcement which should even *help* keep the coaster in good running shape...but Ghostrider's layout is WAY different from any other woodie I've ridden...Villain had nowhere NEAR those laterals in it's "generic O-n-B" layout.
