LOL...and then would they call the grand re-opening "OVulation?"

Glenn: Chris Godsey actually is one of the top guys in the amusement industry. He is one of the designer's on the Wild Country USA theme park. So I would suspect he knows much more than most, in not all, of us.
Yes, and he also had "sources" who told him that SUF was going to be over 200ft tall. So everyone is incorrect from time to time, even people in the biz. ;)

Why would Six Flags do this? This deconstructive decision obviously isn't to make more money, and if Six Flags isn't making money on a decicision, then that means they didn't want to do it. Right?

I can't see them just angling the twisted spike. Wouldn't it be very uncomfortable when the train slows/stops to reverse direction. Depending on which part of the train you were sitting in, you may be thrown sideways into the otsr's. Dosen't sound like fun to me.
Also, all you guys wondering why SFMW would change the ride after only being open for one year, its not MW that wants to do it. Vallejo is MAKING them do it because MW really thought they could "sneak" the ride in and have the city not notice it was 185 ft. instead of 150ft.

Either way, I always rag on SFA for having basically one custom coaster (even though their ROAR was built first and isn't even am exact clone) but honestly, coaster for coaster, SFA's line up is MUCH more attractive to me than nearby PKD *and* BGW. Clones or no clones, I really like that parks coasters.
(And now that SFMW's V2 is being modified, that means only the kiddie coaster, SLC, and boomerang are clones, really)

When applying for a building permit (for a deck in my case, I would assume that a coaster would be a similar process), you first submit your plans to the local gov't. Some "expert" goes over your plans and either approves them as is, approves them with modifications, or rejects them.
I would presume that most often (as was the case with me) the plans are "approved with modifications". By suggesting some minor change, the inspector can justify his existence and payroll to his local office. The structure is then built by the homeowner/park owner.
In my case, I just built my deck the way I planned BEFORE modifications, figuring that the inspector wouldn't catch it on his second trip around. While I gambled correctly and my inspector didn't notice a thing, SFMW may have gotten caught, either by the inspection to open (which I doubt) or perhaps by an audit after community complaints about noise, etc.
The delay is likely due to the whole legal wrangling of fines vs. reconstruction like "SFMW is in violation of Code XXXX. You have 30 days to modify structure of face fines". To which, if I were SFMW, would pay a couple of small fines to keep my ride going during the season, and modify it during the off-season.
What do you guys think of that hypothesis??

Except for one item. Whereas your "infringement" with your deck, assuming you WERE caught, would most likely involve a relatively minor amount of "deconstruction", we're talking about a multi-million dollar coaster in this case. You may have taken a very reasonable "gamble" with YOUR property. However, the SFMW folks were gambling on a MUCH larger scale, and with the amount of scrutiny parks seem to be going through these days, it just seems like it would have been a "bad bet"...IMO.

Yes but all their clones are ones that are rarer than others. SROS rocks, Jokers Jinx will rock this year with lapbar, batwing is just plain awesome, Two/Face is fun. The kiddie is whatever (good for credit) The Mind Eraser is horriable the worst SLC I have been on (and I have been on many of them). Wild One and Roar are both custom designs and both rock. During my trip to SFA last year in Aug I had the best time at a SF park that I had last year.
