Boy, one spike is gone, and the other is half gone!  I'm sure anxious for confirmation on what exactly is happening.

Anyone think they might just prolong the ascent? They might be able to keep it vertical if they just frolong the ascent into the spikes.

Yeah, I think it's stupid for them to torn it down just after 1 year....

They aren't tearing it down, they are modifying it, drastically.  And they may be being forced to by the city.

I'd say this because I did hear it somewhere before, if the city is forcing them to reduce the height, where was the city when they were going to build it?  Did they just say, okay, well the height is XX amount over, okay, go ahead and build it?

Anywho, the suspense is horrible!  I hope it'll last. :)

Canadas Coaster Drew

It's weird to see the word "deconstruction" when reffering to a coaster.

There making it tilt, the one end isn't 90* up, but now rather 70*...It's becoming like a messed up bommerang. I expect they will add spikes, and Six Flags being who they are will brag about having the first ever double twisting impulse. Messed up.

Yea, that's for sure Canada's Coaster Drew! ;) I'm amazed that they are even going to deconstruct the first tower anyway, since mostly coasters never have any kinds of deconstruction. Like they said, World's first re-designed coaster!

Even if that was true, WT is already done with vertical construction.  I bet SF they wouldn't make it.

Wow, the world must be coming to an end, because they are not just fixing the holding LIM.

This is making me crack up!  I can't wait to see what they're up to.

It's not going to be a double twisting impulse(I wish). They're just basically shortening the straight spike, complete with the holding brake back in tact.

The twisted spike is being re-built to angle out rather than up, to what degree I don't know. But it will stretch across the entrance of the park.

Dweaver, that makes a lot of sense. They wouldn't have to scrap any of the existing spike track.

Ravenguy, you forgot the 2 TotC's at the GAms. This might be the first redesigned shuttle coaster, but not first redesigned coaster.

I heard that they are putting an inline twist before the first spike. It sounds weird but everyone thought X was weird before it was built.
