Unpopular Coaster Opinions

^I couldn't agree more with your #1. Maverick would be better at a slightly lower speed; those snaps are just past the point of fun for me. Not so sure about I-305 though, I didn't find any rewarding qualities to that ride (aside from having the shortest wait for any roller coaster at the park when I was there.)

Love Morgan hypers, too! Odd and boxy, but the differences are welcome!

Trim brakes everywhere should be a little tighter.

Cedar Fair did not buy Geauga Lake just to shut it down and get rid of the competition.

Walt Disney World is not overpriced.

The Jungle Cruise is the best ride at the Magic Kingdom.

I've got to disagree with the maverick thing. I think it would be better without the trims after the launch, and at 5 or 10 mph faster in the first half

Hey, let's ride (random Intamin coaster). What? It's broken down? I totally didn't expect that.

I've lived in Washington, DC since 2011.

Since I've moved here, I've been to SFA once, KD once, and BGW probably 15 times. Obviously I value the better park experience even with the significantly longer drive time.

I lived in Arlington for a year while I was a student. I scraped enough money together to buy two season passes that year, my two parks I picked: BGW and Hersheypark. I didn't go to (then) PKD nor SFA that year, in fact I've still never visited SFA.

most people think that so...

Felt the Big Bad Wolf was underrated
I always thought Magnum was way overrated and wish they replace the trains with Morgan's (over sized Mine Ride) still a good ride but never great. Juts my thought.
I really enjoy Rougarou, but Kraken is king for floorless
I like Storm Chaser over TTD, in a perfect world put mavericks track at the bottom of TTD hill (will require some breaks to slow it down)
Loved the New Texas Giant (MS 2.0 can't wait)
Not big on Griffon, but I like the length of Valravn
Nitro and X (SFMM) are very underrated
I have always liked Legend over Raven
Lastly I really miss the Villain (the way it ran when it first opened)

Magnum has too much airtime. Robb Alvey is perfectly obnoxious. Robb Alvey offered a popular opinion when he remarked in a video that I-305 "craps all over" Millennium Force.

- I've not ridden Rougarou, but Mantis was the best B&M at Cedar Point.
- Schwartzkopfs are overrated.
- Arrow megaloopers are great.
- Batman - The Ride is the best inverted coaster I've ridden, and probably a top-five coaster overall.
- Titan and SFMM's Goliath are two of the best hypercoasters ever built.
- Diamondback is Diamehndback.
- Hydra: The Revenge is a pretty great floorless.
- SkyRush is easily the best coaster in Hershey, or even Pennsylvania.
- Griffon and SheiKra are not that interesting.
- The Superman Ultimate Flight flyers are some of the most fun coasters at their respective parks, and pretty great rides in general.
- Mission: Space is one of the best non-coaster rides ever built.

Fahrenheit is Mehrenheit.

The trick was to surrender to the flow.

No he's not. Every year in my stocking I get the coveted Necco Wafers that are an entire roll of chocolate only. Heaven.

Disney hates rich people too.

Shoot the Rapids was a good ride (not just cause I worked it)

I305 is the worst giga in North America

Helices more than 360 degrees are unenjoyable

Mean Streak wasn't all that bad and I would even go so far as to say it was fun. Granted I last rode it in 2004, but its reputation then wasn't much better than it was in recent years.

Besides being the only good B&M standup, Georgia Scorcher is roughly as good as Mindbender and is thusly tied for the second best coaster at SFoG.

While I prefer various others, the Coney Island Cyclone is the platonic ideal wooden coaster.

The numbers at Six Flags were down because of weather.

B&M Hypers in general are overrated.

Vortex at Kings Island is a great ride.

Corkscrew at CP is a great night ride.

I don't mind parking lot coasters.

Maverick was better with the hard restraints.

Fresh cut fries are better than cheese on a stick.

I call Cedar Point my home park even though I live in the Chicago Suburbs.

Out of the three parks I've been to (Bush Gardens Williamsburg, Six Flags Over Georgia, and King's Dominion), Loch Ness Monster at BGW is my favorite coaster.

My reasoning behind this statement is that Loch Ness is incredibly unique. It is very inconsistent (in a good way, each ride will provide a different experience), it's perfect amount of theming allows it to be a thrill ride as well as a theme ride without the two ideas conflicting each other, the G force change throughout the first drop is godly, and it has aged incredibly well. I've never seen a coaster as well rounded as Loch Ness.

Another one would be Tempesto, BGW's newest addition, sucks. The ride has one fun moment, and that is the rollback after the first launch. The rest of the ride is just boring and uncomfortable.

One more. Intimidator 305 at King's Dominion sucks. I don't see any fun in something that leaves me sore and dazed for the next hour. Maybe I'm wimpy or something, but the ride lacked airtime, and the positive Gs were too intense to be conprehensible. Apollo's Chariot and Griffon at BGW are somewhat comparable in style, but they are much better IMO.

(Edit-this is probably ripe with typos caused by a bad touchscreen. Sorry.)
