Ultimate Ride is going into production today!

DragonCyrs, I'm not meaning to brag, but YES, I am that special! In fact, all of the beta testers are special, but I've had the good fortune of receiving special treatment even over all of the other beta testers. I got my first beta a full week before anyone else did, so I was the very first non-Disney employee ever to receive a pre-release copy of the game. This was one of my rewards for launching the very first Ultimate Ride fan page in the world, but I've been receiving other perks due to the amount of my support for this project. The only other non-Disney employees to see it in action before me are those who saw it demonstrated at E3, but all of the gaming magazines are just now receiving their review copies of it, so believe it or not, I even played several different beta versions extensively before any member of the press got to do more than spend a little time with a demo of it at E3, as far as I know!

As for the downloads, please note that I said there MIGHT be free downloads of new stuff, I didn't say that it was definite. I knew that the first expansion pack was being planned for release this spring, and I knew LOTS of things that were being considered for it, but I didn't know all of the details for sure yet, that's why I tried to be very careful to emphasize what was POSSIBLE, and that's why I reminded everyone that Disney could change their minds about any of their plans at any time!

As for Disney consulting me first before they make any decisions regarding the game, YES, generally, they do! They bounce their ideas off of all the beta testers, and we bounce all of our ideas off of them, and then they decide what their course of action will be. I don't know EVERYTHING about their plans, but I am privy to plenty of classified information, so as soon as they tell me that I can reveal something, of course I won't hesitate to pass it on to all of you!

I haven't even posted any of this stuff on my Ultimate Ride fan page yet, or any of my other websites, so you buzzers should consider yourselves LUCKY! The only other boards I know of that are being informed this early are Danimation's boards, and I don't hang out there, so I don't even know if any of the other beta testers have told them as much as I've told all of you yet!

The only thing that I know for sure is that this is BIG, and that shouldn't come as a surprise to ANY of you, coming from Disney! So, please try to remember that I chose to tell all of you buzzers here FIRST, OK? I didn't HAVE TO do it, I did it because I WANTED y'all to be among the first to know, and I sure as heck ain't gettin' PAID to tell y'all ANYTHING, so don't look a gift draggon in the mouth, or you might get SCORCHED with some NASTY fire breath!

(LOL! Sorry, I'm not meaning to belittle, insult, or intimidate anybody here, and I'm not making any REAL threats either, nor am I just here to make a bunch of noise, but I simply couldn't resist those last few TASTY metaphors up there!) <EG>

P.S.: Just to show that I'm a good sport with good intentions, I just edited and/or deleted most of my earlier posts to shorten the thread. So, I'm not trying to be a troublemaker, or bore everybody to death with dozens of pages of information. I just wanted you all to know how COOL I think this game is! As DragonCyrs said, these are only MY opinions though, so please visit the official website for more information, and make your own judgements when the game is released. Sorry if you missed all the details that I posted earlier, but it really WAS very excessive, so I had to get over alot of my enthusiasm for the sake of brevity. I can't help but laugh at the irony here though, because even with all those huge volumes of details that I posted before, I still barely scratched the surface of what this game is like! For a little more insight, scroll back up a few notches near the bottom of page one, and read my newly edited post describing "Dragon Attack". It will give you the code you need to unlock the secret prop that it contains! I hope to see you all casting your votes and posting your own rides on the coaster exchange when it opens on the day of the game's release!

Well, not that anyone will be very interested in this now, in light of recent events, but Best Buy and Electronics Boutique will have exclusive versions of the game that will include some props that will not be available in any of the other versions!

I just thought I'd let everyone know that a second expansion pack is also being planned for Ultimate Ride sometime next year. I'm not sure what it will include yet, but I do know that an environment editor is currently in the works, in addition to the prop editor that was announced earlier, so expect to see the game get alot more creative by the time the first expansion pack is released! The first expansion pack is still scheduled to be released this spring, so get ready to rock! BTW, the first expansion pack will definitely include new inversion elements, so you'll only be limited for a very short time!
