For those of you who want to sing along.....

One banana, two banana, three banana, four
Four bananas make a bunch and so do many more.
Over hill and highway the banana buggies go
Comin' to bring you the Banana Split show

(CHORUS)
Tra la la, la la la la
Tra la la, la la la la

Four banana, three banana, two banana, one
All bananas playin' in the bright warm sun.
Flippin' like a pancake, popping like a cork
Fleegle, Bingo, Drooper an' Snork(REPEAT CHORUS)

Two banana, four banana, one banana, three
Swingin' like a bunch on monkeys, hangin' from a tree.
Hey there, ev'rybody, won't you come along and see
How much like Banana Splits ev'ryone can be

(REPEAT CHORUS)

Makin up a mess of fun
Makin up a mess of fun
Happiness for ev'ryone
Tra la la, la la la la
Tra la la, la la la la
Tra la la, la la la la

How can you not love a show that introduced us to the Bay City Rollers?

Uh, never mind.....

For you, chris

"H.R. Pufnstuf,
He's your friend when things get rough,
H.R. Pufnstuf,
Can't do a little 'cause you can't do enough."

Wow! Can't do a little cause you can't do enough?

Looks like Jimmy and Freddie the talking flute make a little more sense in this context.

You mean you haven't seen Harvey Birdman Attorney at law yet? I think that had me laughing as much as Aquateen :)

the whole line-up rocks as far as I'm concerned....but Aqua Teen, for my money, has the characters I can relate to in my own distorted way....Frylock, Master Shake, Meatwad...they're the Cosby Kids of the next generation....

FWIW, Harvey Birdman has been recommended but not yet viewed...Mission Hill struck me as a cross between the "real" version of Family Guy and Friends....The Oblongs I liked, but the drawing style was "unsettling"...kinda Matisse-y...

Brak and Zorak, well, they just hit TOO close to home....

edit: and NOW you know the "real" me....OMG, I'm going to have to terminate all life on this planet, or fear retribution from my intergalactic masters....

You gotta love Sid and Marty Kroft. (H.R., Sigmond, Land of the Lost, etc...)

I too thought Banana Splits were Kings Island. In fact, I could have sworn they used to hang out in Hanna Barbara Land. Maybe my mind isn't what it used to be

What? No Sealab 2021 fans? That's my personal favorite. Glad to see the scorpion episode again this past Sunday. Funny stuff.

Jeff - you have a kid, you're not allowed to think dirty anymore ;-)

I'm assuming you mean that in the sense that someone else has one, 'cause I sure don't.

BigKirby - by saying "soon-to-be" I was referring to when the shows were filmed, not present day.

Kings Island was the home of the Banana Splits. I saw them there the first year PKI opened.

Boomerang is a seperate channel owned by Cartoon Netowrk. COMERCIAL FREE BOYS AND GIRLS!! (Except for Cartoon Network Comercials). Boomerang is the BOMB!! It is Cartoon Network for adults. All the Hanah Barbera classics from the old days... Hokey Wolf and Ding-A-Ling RULES!! http://www.toonarific.com/h/Hokeywolf-pics.html

Boomerang is supposed to be a network, although I have never seen any proof, for example anyone who's seen the thing. I think it exists, it must.
As for seeing Boomerang, it's the same producers as Adult Swim. Every morning CN shows a different year, ie. 1966(which always rocks). It comes on at 5 & 6AM, LOL. They usually go off on some Jabber Jaw kinda stuff. There are other times for it, often. They are bad for keeping the real good stuff out of my view;(, it's always the same reruns, urrggghhhh! OMG! Look! It's the Hair Bear Bunch! The original Sealab 2020 can be just as funny as 2021. http://toonzone.net/ is a place where you can usually find exact schedules, special presentations, et cetra, but be warned! That place can redefine fanboys, LOL, like some serious get a life stuff, the boards can be packed.

If it's a cartoon, I'll watch it, at least once. I often track record up 30 plus hours of 'toon watching every week. It goes on & on, my favorite thing being some of the messed up rides that often appear in the shows. If I had to give up one thing, animation or coasters, my brain would fall out the side of my head. Essential to existence.

Now, to find myself a showing of the Banana Splits;), wether or not they were on acid, if they weren't on it, they at least knew the viewers were.......

If you want proof go to www.boomerang.com or look at Dish Network's Dish 150 plan. It has it on it, as my girlfriend has it.
