TTD testing yet?...Too quiet!

Hi all. I have been feverishly watching the Web cams all week to no avail. Has CP started firing up TTD yet? I find it hard to believe that it's supposed to open in a month, yet they haven't tried to put it through its paces at all. Anyone seen or heard anything? It seems like like the topic of TTD in general has quieted down considerably on here lately.
i'v been curious about this as well, CP opens in under a month and all i've heard is that they have been doing partial pull throughs, but then again, they did contruct and test the machinery and motors in switzerland before packing it up and sending it to the point

They are launching trains! The problem is that TDD's ride time is only 22 seconds and the webcams update every 60 seconds, so you're missing all the action between updates ;)

Geez, did I miss the pull through?

I think I saw it posted somewhere that if you keep hitting refresh on the CP webcam you can eventually catch one of the trains being launched...

Just went to the TTD site. Cool new pics from 4/11 up.

Love the grandstands! Now all we need is Monty to update the construction diary to talk about how it's running and I'll be happy. I'm not headed to CP until July since I'm from Mass. Hopefully, most of the kinks will be worked out by then, and hopefully the lines will be short! Yeah right!

I swear I saw something on the hill yesterday, but before I could capture the image, the page refreshed....

On the Q&A page

they mention a "month of operating" before TTD opens to the public......were they testing TTD before the 4th of this month? or are they comprimising that....I'm going to be there the 14th and 15th...this thing better be open by then.

Never plan a trip around a coaster's scheduled opening date. It's always best to wait until it's open and running regularly to travel. Case in point: S:TE, Volcano, Perilous Plunge, Xcelerator, X, Deja Vu, Hypersonic, Rhino Rally, SOB, LoCoSuMo, NM Rattler, X-Flight, Phantom's Revenge...shall I go on?

Understandable Moosh...however this trip is a bachelor party and it's usually best if those occur before the wedding (6/7), so I'll just have to cross my fingers.
Moosh- Cedar Point would probably be the only park that you can pretty much depend on the opening date. That's not to say that the ride won't go down several times on opening day (WT) or shut down for an enthusiass event (WT)... but they always open (except Gemini) for their opening weekend.

I know this may be dumb.... but do you think th grandstands will actually be open for the public or just as a theming aspect

The grandstands are specifically for the public, and will have food stalls underneath them.

Yes, great idea.... SFKK has the same thing next to their (real) dragster strip.

Shut up Den! That is a 100% original CP idea you're talking about.

Blasphemer!

As a matter of fact, it is unique to CP. If they copied SFKK, the Dragster would completely obscure the one and only path to half of the park. So there.
