And maybe if it was dueling they could say that it is 2 dif. coasters which would mean # 16 and #17. So if SFMM did get an intanim woodie that would put them only at 16. hehehehehe.

By the way, i think that duelling or racing might not be that bad of a thought, considering the capacity the point strives for and looking at Xcellerator's throughput.

Until we know something for certain, I wouldn't count on duelling, though. Remember, before Wicked Twister's annoucement plenty of people were speculating THAT would be a dual Impulse.

I was skeptical not 20 minutes ago when I first read Dennis' post, but hey, how else can you explain two different *support* colors. Two different track colors I can see, but two different support colors is rather odd ...

I can see it now - one launch from behind Mantis, the other near Trokia, meet at Area 51 and up dual 420 foot top hats ... tooooo sah-weet! =)

That's an ambitious prediction, PittDesigner. While I'd love to see it, let's not get ridiculous in all the excitement.

Jeff pretty much shot the dueling / racing thing down in his latest reply at GTTP.

Only CP fans wouldn't be happy with a potentially 420 foot tall coaster, now they want it to duel. That's great! :)

Since the ride is rumored to span across different areas, I would imagine the ride would have several color schemes. Maybe the tophat would be the red, white, and blue portion. Maybe the launch would be the other colors.. who knows ;)

Any other year, I would say the trend would still remain. But, this year they are working very hard to drive the final stake through their competitions heart nearby (RIP SFWOA, we hardly knew ye!!)

According to one of my sources, CP has been intent on getting a rocket coaster for a while now, they wanted to see how it would work at Knotts first. Hence the addition of a "filler" attraction in Wicked Twister. They knew that a more higher capacity ride was coming and that Wicked Twister would help in thinning out the crowds on that side of the park. Now, its time to help out the other side. This coaster will surely bring more people to ride the surrounding coasters like Mean Streak and Magnum as WT helped out Disaster Transport.

I definitely see an announcement on or around September 11th...
