Track sighted @ Cedar Point (summarized)

It was never confirmed............. ever...

But if you look on virtually every single coaster site, all signs point to that, because that's what they suggest, and what other Intamin could they be building? Let us count the ways...

Inverted? Nope... got Wicked Twister. Good enough for me.
Another Hyper? Nope... well, not in the sense with a lift-hill
Intamin Looper? Uhh... Not unless it's going to be the tallest!
Intamin Stand-Up? I don't think I can picture myself standing up in one of those cars!
Intamin Floorless? Now that's just a rip-off idea!
Intamin Run-Away Mine Train? Now I'm just being retarded

Ok, heres the question. Has anyone gone to KBF and counted the sections of track that make up Xcel, then compared/counted whats behind Mean Streak. Ok, so you are all looking at the post like, who would do that? When deep in your hearts you know someone here definately would.

I will be very surprised if this new rocket coaster isn't an exact clone of KBF's. But I will be happy nonetheless.

Ok, maybe it will be a bit taller. But 400+? Nah!

There's already parts on site at CP that are unlike any of those found on Xcelerator:

That part on that picture is the support for the 1st & 2nd track that's supposed to duel with it at the same time. ;)

That piece shown sure looks like a piece of the transfer track. I could be wrong, but I am pretty sure that is for the transfer track area.

More pictures were posted on virtualmidway...could someone explain to me the magnitude of the construction area???...How would one compare it to the construciton areas of MF and Mean Streak....???

Why should it be closed? Just because no one has replied to it in a whopping two days? Give it some time and maybe when something worthwhile happens someone will reply.

It's no longer dirt piles...

...it's Chaos and Troika have been ripped out and are sitting in the parking lot.

...it's the PaddleWheel Excursion boats have been taken out and a land bridge has appeared from the midway to Millennium Island. Also there is heavy equipment on the island.

...its evident that Cedar Point has taken out tons of trees surrounding Iron Dragon and Area 51, making the area look very lacking. You can even see Mantis from that side of the park now.

And all of this was done in merely 4 days...

I really hope this doesn't ruin the beauty that was Iron Dragon. With all the trees that took many years to fill in, it finally had a feel where it was close and swoopy to the ground & trees...

I hope it doesn't go too bare. Whatever they got planned, it better be good!!

i agree. but i also think that they will be replacing a lot of what they took down. I mean, if you can see Mantis from the Gemini Midway then I'm sure that they'll be doing something about it.

You'd think so, but they wiped out TONS of trees for MF, and now there are barely any left in the lift hill/station area.

Yeah, but that's different. Then again, no it isn't. If they are tearing down trees on the island then they are most likely doing construction on it, therefore, if that is where a large section of the ride is, then it would block out Mantis from Camp Snoopy.

I'm gonna' cry if they get rid of all those trees without replacing them. They make the Iron Dragon somewhat worthwhile, and add to the natural beauty of the park. I'll sue if they take em' out...
