Timberliner Testing resumes on the Voyage

So I read this whole thread, and I'm just thinking, cool.. the voyage train is back to its original length, so the ride in the rearmost row returns to it's original level of insanity :) I was disappointed to see the blocked off loading row in the station last year, and yea, it does make a difference. Go PTCs LOL

I thought of many ways to word that post and sadly they all seemed to come out wrong.

Shiny red Timberliners are being installed on Twister. The nose car looks to be sporting a headlight.

^I noticed that headlight...hope it works when you get there!

*KW's headlights were non-operational by the time I made my first visit there, always thought those would make for some very-cool night rides...

Looks like twister is already testing if not open to the public

^Is it testing? I was thrown off by the cartoon/rendering with people riding it...

Forgive my ignorance, what's KW?

Nothing to see here. Move along.

Kennywood, it is a great park in Pittsburgh Pa.

The above comment is referring to the NAD trains on Thunderbolt. http://www.rcdb.com/122.htm

Before you can be older and wiser you first have to be young and stupid.

A couple years ago, I was told by the operator at Camden Park's Big Dipper that the lights on their NAD train still worked, even though they didn't run with them on.

Ok, the trains on Twister have odd metal lap bars. Is the final covering just not there yet? The ones at Quassy look like the lap bars from the train that was on display at HolidayWorld. Just wondering?

^^^Sorry Dave, I continuously forget the rest of you aren't always privy to the conversation in my head. I will try to keep it in mind... :)

The NADs at Camden were *really* sweet, even if they could've used a little TLC in terms of appearance.

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

Stupid question time...

What "Twister" are we talking about here? I've looked and looked. I can't figure it out. :) I assume the one at KG, which would be AWESOME!

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

LostKause's avatar

Oh. Never been there. ;) Thanks for the info. :)

rollergator's avatar

....because Twister @ Grona Lund does in fact feature Timberliners!

13 pages later and we're on topic? What HAS happened to Coasterbuzz? ;)

I have seen the Thunderbolts headlights in action. Wacky fun indeed.

There ya go, Gator. We're back on course again. ;)
