From the blog post:

Strike up the band because we’ve saved a seat for you on this musical journey with Tiana and friends! The name of the new attraction evolving from the reimagining of Splash Mountain was announced today during ESSENCE Fest in New Orleans: Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. The all-new adventure which will bring guests into the world of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ film “The Princess and the Frog” like never before is coming to Magic Kingdom in Florida and Disneyland park in California in late 2024.

And at least paid for your trip to the Galactic Starcruiser.

Do the jars come with a certificate of authenticity?

The good ones do. But Brer Bear is selling fakes at the 192 flea market. Those are filled with subpar Ripsaw Falls water, so watch out for that.

Still wouldn't be interested, to be honest.

This is surprising, they're using live actors in the new version and there's already leaked footage of the rehearsals.

There is no way this wasn't embarrassingly terrible even back then.

I can remember Up With People (which apparently still exists), and I think they would have been embarrassed by that. To say nothing of the trio I can only assume went by the name The Mining People.

Promoter of fog.

You mean Splash Mountain has been woke since the late-80s? Fire Eisner!

Yeah, I don't think "late" this year is it. Cast previews are obviously happening. Imagineering showed it on YouTube last week. I hope they do passholder previews.

BrettV:

My biggest worry is that the show scenes will lose their animatronics and scenery and be replaced with screens.

That did happen a little bit.

Jeff:

They are, but not in the way they have in the past. They're just opening the virtual queue for passholders only on select days. And it's already too late to get park reservations for those dates without poking around trying to pick up a cancelation.

I rarely road Splash because I thought it was boring, lacked anything that would hold my attention while riding. Tiana's...very well done from start to finish. Highly recommend.

I'm gonna be on the boat most of those days anyway. I suppose I'll get on it when I get on it. I can't even tell you the last time I set foot in MK.

And you're still a pass holder @Jeff ? How come ?

Nothing to see here. Move along.

Maybe it will be better in person, but it feels just very average, and a lot of dead space. I feel like splash had a bit better storytelling and just more going on.

Its almost like magic kingdom got a Navi river journey under a different name.

If there was a story in Splash Mountain, I have no idea what it was.
