The Ultimate Six Flags Trip

I am planning a trip for this summer that is the ultimate trip of the summer. It will include travelling to all 15 major Six Flags parks (not Six Flags properties) in 20 days. The trip will begin at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom where season passes are the cheapest--any questions or comments: E-mail me at TheSchwitek@aol.com

*15 parks, over 125 coasters, and 480 hours.

-----------------

I possibly get to go to *only* Six Six Flags parks this year...

How much do you think this trip is going to cost you?

-------------
Planned Parks for this summer: SFoGa, CP, SFWoA, SFGAm, SFKK, PKI, MA, SFStL, HP, KW, SFMM, KBF. Is 12 enough?

Thats gonna be a rough trip! Sounds fun.

-----------------
I've traded in my 2000 Giovanola for a 2002 Arrow X4D :)
My other car is now an Arrow X4D!

I've approximated around $1,200, that includes every thing from gas, food, hotels, season passes down to 20 dollars extra each day to spend on whatever.

Have a great time on the coasters, you'll certainly get more than your fill of that good old-fashioned SF hospitailty....well, then again, just enjoy the rides!

How many days in a row have you spent in any park or parks prior to this trip? This might be like thinking you can run a marathon because you can make 2 miles ...

Anyway, enjoy the trip , it'll be one to remember :)

I've spent 7 days in a row at different parks--2 days at a couple--I just never get tired of it--I think this will be a challenge-but a reachable one that will leave me with lifelong memories.

-----------------

When are you planning to do this? I wanna read the Trip Report;)

SFNE drops the "floor" on SFNE for 2002! Visit www.geocities.com/sfneguy for info. and pics of SFNE, including NEW constr. pics of B:DK!!!

Definitely post a trip report. I want to see this one! :)

I've done 10 consecutive days (ACE con + sidetrips), but never a trip THIS massive. It'll be interesting to see how you hold out near the end.

I've got some errands to run--I will post the trip report around 1 or 2 this afternoon! See you all soon!

arent trip reports "after" the trip is over?

What's love...it should be about us, it should be about trust!

You might want to buy food outside the park because food inside there can get pretty pricy. Also you'll be going on A LOT of coasters! Now you can compare-SROS SFNE to SROS SFDL/SFA, and get to ride the new coasters (BDK, X, Deja Vu?, SUF). Also, you can see which Mind Erasers are least rough!

221' drop on SROS is more like 8000'

Hey Coaster Art Guy,

Why dont you go to SFWoA?? It isnt that bad of a place. It has 10 great coasters. The service is decent and they have a great waterpark. I would stongly suggest stoping there too.

-----------------
*Top 5 coasters* 1.Millenium Force 2.Steel Dragon 2000 3.X-Flight 4.Raptor 5. Batman KF

Been there plenty before, and I'm going with the kids for Season Passes before then. WoA gets kind of annoying after awhile. Especially when all of the coasters break down at once.

You'd better look at some of those travel times. One day you have 10-11 hours of driving followed by a trip to a park. Another day you have 20 hours of driving. You might be able to do that for a day or two, but not for a couple weeks.

Also, why not reduce your itinerary and hit some of the fine regional parks that aren't Six Flags. Travel, food, and lodging are going to cost a lot more than admissions. This is also why I wouldn't pick my starting point where season passes are cheapest.

I agree with Jim. One day at SFA followed the next day by SFOG? I''m all for park trips but that pace/schedule seems pretty suicidal! (And that you may not be able to enjoy the parks due to rushing so much!)

You ambition is to be commended, but I would consider rethinking that schedule!
