The True Six Flags St.Louis!

Giant is crap, and very very very rough. My dad went to ride coasters with me there and had to sit out the rest of the day.

Wait....if this is who I think it is...you're telling me that you loved Rattler, but thought Giant was too rough?! Rattler is not even close to being a good ride...whereas Giant can be a good ride....
Rattler was awesome! I loved it very much and it only had one bad point of roughness, the helix with the trim brake. I bet the helix would be better if it didnt have the trim.

This is the only Six Flags park that i have been to and from what i see is probably one of the most BEST and UNIQUE Six Flags there is.

Interesting. It's the only SF park you've been to, yet it's the best, most unique.

My biggest complaint when I went to SFStL was the heat. It was pushing 100 and the long line for Mr. Freeze had no hint of shade. The rest of the park however was well planted and had a good amount of shade. The hill side location was nice. We wound up spending most of the day in the nice water park due to the extreme heat.

Mr. Freeze was excellent and BTR's are always excellent coasters. The Boss was a disappointment and needed track work. I thought that Screamin' Eagle was a better coaster than the Boss and has real potential, but it also could have used some track work. The mine train and the other Arrow were nothing special.

My overall impression was that the park was well run, clean, had a scenic location, and a decent, but not outstanding selection of coasters. If they had just turned down the heat it would have been real nice.

Dont make Ninja look that good, it's Vekoma buddy.

If Six Flags could control the heat it means they could control the weather. If they could control the weather, what would they blame their poor attendance and dwindling profits on? ;)

ding ding ding! WE HAVE A FANBOY!! ;)
Ok. Thanks for the compliments. And I really didn't know that we had to use correct spelling here, sorry!

But actually to point out, the 1st hill is actually taller on Screamin' Eagle but the 3rd hill's drop is taller because it goes down the side of a hill.

And I really don't know why all you guys are complaining about The Boss, becasue I have been on it about over 200 times and never once was the ride bad at all.

The Ninja is a true gem, you don't find anything like that anymore. You people might think it's painfull but I don't see where that's coming from. = /

Sorry about the spelling, I didn't know that I had to spell everything correct. And thanks for all the comments. My review for SFSTL took me about an hour to think up and type and it was worth it since you guys liked reading it. I was hoping that I would make it more interesting than the rest of them. = D

Sorry, I made a mistake about Screamin' Eagle. The 1st hill is actually taller than the 3rd but the 3rd hill's drop is larger because it goes down the side of the hill. MY BAD!!! = /

I don't really understand why people are saying that The Boss is uncomfortable because of all the 200+ times that I have ridden it, I have nothing to complain about. Yeah, and I once remember this guy who was trying to make a world-record on The Boss a couple of years ago who was riding it for a certain ammount of days. I talked to him because I was sitting right behind him on the ride. = D

I personally think that nothing is wrong with The Ninja and I still think that this beauty is a GEM.

Steven - just a little FYI, if you click on the "edit" button at the top of your post you can correct spelling errors or delete duplicate posts.

And yes, keep the writing coming. Its always nice to have people contributing.

No no no. the third drop is the 3rd biggest. The 2nd is the biggest drop. Get it straight.

Im just sayin that all the peeps that talk crap bout one park need to visit that park first b4 they make any comments on it.....But what i can see from all these websites is that alot of these Six Flags parks are over-rated but as i said above i shouldn't judge the park without visiting it.

I still have no idea how you can make any claims about other parks without having visited them. I've been to SFStL and I've been to many other parks and I much prefer GAdv. and MM and MW and GAm. and NE and SFA to SFStL.

Not saying your opinion is wrong, just saying you should stop being hypocritical.

I couldn't just let this one go.

Trip reports are great, but coming out of the gates attempting to prove that your favorite park is the best is, to put it bluntly, worthless. No one is going to "attack" you if you come out and write something nice about your day at any park.

So when next season comes around, try to visit another park and then see how SFStL measures up. ;-)

You know, one of my all time pet peeves is telling someone who has not been to many other parks other than their home park that their home park is worthless. I don't know about you, but I would love to go to SFSL. I like the small, often forgotten Six Flags parks. I find them to often be well-taken care of, more so than some of the larger ones. After all, I missed the Chiller, not the Texas Cyclone. I have sympathy for the parks who are veterans yet get more attention than the newbies. SFSL deserves 16 coasters ALOT more than SFMM. Six Flags has obviously forgotten their roots, so its up to the park alone to do everything. It never got much to boast about. It was given a modest coaster collection and left to run on those 7, 4 of which really ever gain any notoriety. I find that the "forgotten" SF parks have nicer atmospheres, are more well-run, and are prettier. Fiesta Texas is the most beautiful park I've ever visited. Astroworld is incredibly themed, far more so than Six Flags America, the park home to that Vekoma flyer that is supposed to be a Batman ride. Don't judge a park on coasters alone. After all, doesn't SFMM get alot of criticism for being filthy and run-down with such horrible ride closure issues? (if Flashback doesn't open to the public, it should not be considered a 16th coaster)

Sirloin - There are lots of people love vanilla ice cream.

Group One - people who love vanilla ice cream and have tasted other flavors of ice cream. They base their love of vanilla ice cream on the fact that no other flavor of ice cream tastes better.

Group Two - People who love vanilla ice cream love simply because its the only ice cream they've ever tasted.

It is a possibility that those in Group Two could find another flavor of ice cream to love when they eventually taste other flavors of ice cream. Its also possible that people in Group Two will become members of Group One when they agree that no other flavor of ice cream tastes as good as vanilla ice cream.

There is nothing wrong with either group's reason for loving vanilla ice cream. But it seems to me that those in Group One can truly say that vanilla ice cream is the best ice cream they've ever tasted.
