The real "What is Holiday World up to?" thread

anticipointment...what a great term!

Iron Dragon was the definition of anticipointment for me. I waited nearly three hours for that thing on opening day and it was like a balloon was deflating right before my very eyes.

This is exactly a big buzz. Its a bunch of enthusiants who would talk about what new ride record breaker is being installed anywhere....The fact that HW has a reputation as having excellent rides.

When CNN and the BBC are knocking on Paula's door we have an example of great buzz. (and yes, it does happen Kingda Ka was on CNN, & MSNBC)

But yes, Paula does have us wrapped around her fingers...

With all of the room pointed out by Paula to Drabek on his little tour, don't you think the possibilities are pretty endless? Do you really think Holiday World is going to build something that isn't great?

Jeff - Editor - CoasterBuzz.com - My Blog

Yeah...give me a little credit, fellas. :)

I've been around the block once or twice and am not about to create a PR nightmare. Who needs that?

Plus Will Koch always lectures us: "Under-promise and over-deliver."

It's just that simple.

So it is a woodie then. Good. :)
A very reliable source told me it would knock my socks off!! That's all I can (or will) say. :) :)

Well at least we now know it's *not* a body slide. There at least *is* a vehicle...

Knock your socks off? Well I'll be darned! I better start stocking up! Ooh, I'm on fire today...someone hose me down ;)
I woodn't call an interactive dark ride a "knock your socks off" attraction. Cool, but you need a thrill ride to "knock my socks off". Yep, I am thinking woodie on this one. :)

*hoses moosh*

Wow, Moosh, you had quite a run going there...

Someone begged a while back for the date of when the announcement will be made for '06.

May 5.

Actually, on May 5 we will decide when to make the announcement.

Got you going there for a sec, huh?

Paula (surprised--and a little ashamed--by how much fun I'm having with this!)

Now Paula, don't think you can milk this thing until January and hide construction from us. ;)

Reading the blog "He wants as much shade as possible in the park."
- in the park would refer to the existing park
areas, not a new area "Keep America Beautiful" - 4th of july section "The one with the Native American sadly looking out over the polluted, trashed river? " - Will looking down over the top of raging rapids from the top of the hill (note: i dont think the raging rapids is polluted) guess: Could be a terrain wood coaster starting at the top of the hill in the 4th of july area going down the hill into the picnic area.

Ha! Good catch!

Where is that negative-g shot again? I am not the best on the back side of HW, but is that close to the rapids? ;) *** Edited 4/29/2005 12:51:29 AM UTC by RavenTTD***
The only roller coaster that could consibable "knock your socks off" would be an inverted or floorless. Could steel be coming to the park. You know those carpnters sure as heck dont want another woodie :)

My husband is a dairy farmer...so I've learned from the best!

Oh, no ... here come the udderly silly dairy puns! Moosh'll squeeze them out one by one and run them past-your-eyes (get it?).

Get ready for the stampede! Paula

One thing I caught when reading the Holiblog was when they were talking about Will being "Third" generation of park ownership and not wanting to screw it up. Could this also mean we will see the "Third" in the line of great wood coasters, and this one has to top the others. Maybe I was wrong but I thought this was a glaring hint!

Chris

That is a bit of a stretch on the "3rd" clue, but that is the blog entry that probably has the clues, and maybe it is just *littered* with 'em. ;)

I think Paula gave it away in her last post above. I'm serious as a heartattack too. What kind of coaster are very short of here in the US? What kind of ride are we always complaining there was more of? The kind that would operate "at the same time?" Hmmmm...... *** Edited 4/29/2005 3:47:11 AM UTC by nasai***
