The real "What is Holiday World up to?" thread

Now I can't help but wonder....can you imagine reading the job description for Paula's job that stated...'in order to provide quality and accurate information regarding our facility and it's resources, the applicant needs thorough working knowledge of the english language and have extended understanding of the language, with the instinctive and intrinsic ability to use aforementioned language to contort and blur the understanding of the language to encourage discussion and extended impact amongst the general public'....in another words....pun research...

:)

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.
After visiting HW yesterday, (TR comming soon)

I believe this is a L shapped woodie starting behind THE WAVE and going out into the woods behind Splashin Safari, Curving left and going all the way back behind Bahari before turning around. (Thats a good half mile of heavy woods)

Starting behind THE WAVE and in between it and the employee lot is a good 3 acres of land that has been raised about 10ft above the flood plain. Back behind that area is two paths cut through the woods and some staking going on (Surveying) Visiting Bahari (Great wave pool BTW) You can see work going on through the woods back there. Thats a huge long way from THE WAVE.

If a attraction is to be removed/relocated IMHO it would be the Virgina Reel or that twin waterslide behind the Hoosier Celebration Theater.

Concievably a path could be made from the lower Good old days entrance to the area described or from the Thunder Canyon entrance area.

I honestly don't see a need to remove Eagles Flight unless the coaster comes up the hill first before turnning around and dropping down it, Going over the raised area and then out into the woods. (If this happens this could easlily be the longest wooden coaster ever) Even if it doesn't. The coaster is still going to be huge and I believe out and back with some twist on the way back. (Hence my desire written a couple years ago of a ST with a legend ending) This coaster could be super cool with hills topping over tree hight before dropping back into the darkness of the woods.

I seen the Access Road they build from road, This access road is a good half mile beyond the employee parking lot. At the edge of the woods up there is stacks of steel angle Iron (As seen in Holiblog).

Chuck, who could be entirely wrong but the two staked paths cut through the woods has me entrigued and full of imagination.

Chuck, if there is anyone's guess I trust it's yours. Sounds awesome. I would love for there to be a TGG out and back airtime machine. If that is what it is I am sure I will make the 800 mile drive a few times next year. Heck, I won't even care if it turns out to be the Love Rollercoaster or some other cheesy V-Day theme. :)
I still think it's going to be Thanksgiving.

Im having a hard time comming up with a Stew for V-day.

Easter Rabbit Stew?

That wasn't too hard....but ya MIGHT have a hard time convincing the kiddies to eat the Easter bunny....LOL! :)

Chuck, Chuck, Chuck...

I hate to smash your dreams. Truly I do.

All that fresh groundwork you noticed, though, answers another dream of yours...

We're putting in a huge pipeline for the massive amounts of stew we'll need to have on hand next season.

Sort of a Stewer Line. :)

I ain't driving 800 miles for all you can eat stew.
Like many, I have read every post on this thread. Scary huh?!? I have been leaning more toward Valentine's day since early on. As time passes, here are my thoughts:

1.Steel supported Large Wooden Coaster by TGG, called Cupid's Revenge. This coaster will fall just short of the Beast's length record.

2.A dark ride called Lover's Lane. Could possibly be themed to a boat and called Lover's Canal.

3.An old fashioned Carousel.

4.Old Flyers taken out, as a turnaround for the new coaster will be going here, and the new flyers put into the new area. Somehow I don't think the tubs will be Giant Diapers, but who knows.

5.Some small shops and eateries as well.

Finally, Splashin Safari will recieve a set of larger body slides, a Rapids style tube ride and possibly a Water Coaster. Somehow though, I think I just spent well more than 13 Million dollars so we may have to scratch the Water coaster.

Splashin' Safari has a lazy river, but it would be nice if it was a bit wider.
Well, I've been stewed by the best of em :)

Raven TTD, Stew is not a destination maker, It's a addtion on the perks HW gives.

Rabbit Stew? Eh, I'll pass. The only way to eat it is flour and fry it.

BTW, this was my first visit since a date that wont be mentioned. All the things I love about HW are still there but even better.

Oh and Paula, The smoking sections are great, roomy and well placed. Only one thing I could ask for is a stairwell behind Castle games PLEASE!

Chuck, who considers a ride on legend almost better than something and kinda needs a smoke afterwards without taking the long walk around :)

Yeah, I remembered it right as I hit submit, so I edited it and threw in the body slides. Now maybe it will be a Water Coaster, as Large Body Slides don't seem to fit well with HW. Which doesn't bother me one bit...hahaha.

"Lovers Canal"?

Nope. Ain't gonna touch it. Well, only if I get dinner with it!

Maybe stew?

Free prophylactic devices for ’06?
Ouch!!! not quite where I was going but hey, the dark ride could be an interactive adventure about dating. Can you imagine the ride ops instructions to that one. "Everyone keep hands to yourselves until we get to the third date sequence, and please fasten your ......! Sorry couldn't resist. By the way would the free stew come before or after the ride?

Hey Paula, I'll give you $100.00 if you tell me what all the expansion for '06 is. What do you say? Oooh, if it IS a new roller coaster, you should sell the first amount of seats as a fund raiser.
