Speaking of relief...did you get that announcement rescheduled yet? And no, I don't have a finals week anymore. ;)

I Was at the park today and asked mrs. koch if they had a date for the announcement and she told me that did not as they are working to get some celebrity there for the announcement and they were still working on fitting it into their schedule. So the hold up on it now is because of the celebraty they are trying to get for the announcement. a lot of dirt moving going on beside splashin safari so I would say it's already started.

Paula: Here is something you might want to consider. While I was rinsing off the chlorine in the showers before heading back over to the ride part of the park last Tuesday at HW I had a brainstorm! The next "free thing" you guys add is shampoo. What made me think of this was the conversation I overheard between two older females about how it was such a hassle to have to bring their own shampoo to the park to wash the chlorine out of their hair after playing in the water all day. I can almost gurantee that there is a shampoo company out there that would love to be the OFFICIAL SHAMPOO PROVIDER of Holiday World.

Just an idea, but what the heck...I think Mrs. Koch might go for it if you mention it to her.

My guesses for the celebrity announcement are:

Jeremy Piven if it's Valentine's Day- he did play "Cupid", after-all

Bill Murray if it's Groundhog Day- big "duh"!

Warwick Davis if it's St Patrick's Day- his "Leprechaun" is to die for

Jim Caviezel if it's Easter- that's almost too easy

Neil Diamond if it's Yom Kippur- 3 words: "The Jazz Singer"

Sylvestor Stallone if it's Thanksgiving- because nothing says Big Turkey quite like "Cobra", or "Over the Top", or "Oscar", or "D-tox", or "Driven" or...

I think it should be Nicole Kidman from Bewitched announcing the Free Stew.

And thinks Nicole isn't too shabby either :)

All i have to say is thanks for the latest entry! LOL, i think I laughed out loud at least 6 or 7 times from that... too funny.

You forgot about the new "Presidents Day" Section. They may be bringing in Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, George Bush and Hilary Clinton.

President's Day......Hmmm....

You could make one *dirty* ride in that section of the park.

The first ride ever to have a height restriction of at least four foot tall when standing on your knees.

If it's President's Day, maybe they could get Bonzo from "Bedtime for Bonzo". I have heard that he and Ronnie were very close during the making of the film.

Paula said in a recent Holiblog that Mrs. Koch wanted to get a job as an exotic dancer. If it is a President's Day section, she could get a job at the new Bill Clinton Dinner Theater.

Sorry to disappoint...but there's no snarling going on.

I don't know about anybody else, but when I see snarling going on, I won't visit either competitor. If it is one sided, I'll specifically go to the non-snarling competitor, just to say (with my cash, of course) "Hey, I think you're attitude is much better than Competitor X, and I'd rather do my business here, even if I may like them better".

And I love the latest RCT entry. That really had me laughing.

So later today Paula is going to announce if the expansion is for HW, SS, or both. I am guessing both.

Is it posible that it is neither HW or SS? That the expansion is a hotel/resort or something of that nature. Not many places to stay in northern Spencer County, and part of the Koch family is in the hopitality business. I doubt this is the case, but 10 years ago who would have thought that Santa Claus Land would be a major player in the amusement industry.
