The Next Clones

There already is a clone of Raptor called Orachi in Japan.

Um, sorry.  I don't agree...

As for the question at hand, I believe the next clones will be Vekoma's GIBs and Intamin's Impules, plus I bet we'll see several new Flying Dutchman's at a couple other Six flags parks.

Onekong- Us coaster enthusiests make up a fraction of the general public...these parks are made for the general public in mind.  Most of the GP won't travel to many different parks like us coaster enthusiests do.

Plus, you should know that the parks ask the coaster companies to make a ride the same as another...the companies don't clone the rides because they are too lazy to design a new ride.  Now, it would seem that Vekoma is a company that clones many rides, and that's true.  However, the reason you don't see B&M cloning that many rides is because they cost a lot more than Vekoma's do.  And while B&M's seem to be better rides, they're not that much better that they merit millions of dollars more to create.  That's just my opinion though...

Yet another coaster-craving yuppie

I severely doubt that Flying Dutchmans will be ever seen again at a Six Flags park, after the problems they had this year, both mechanically and with Vekoma.
Well, If Vekoma made a Flying Dutchman at their factory, and proved to SF that it worked perfectly, SF might buy a few more. Probably the same as Deja Vu, The ride get's vallied every 3 cycles which makes SF and the people in line very mad.

im almost positive X is the next BTR series for six flags, i mean, arrow always overclones their proto's (i.e the corkscrews) and six flags parks seem too uncreative and clone everything they can.
themonkeymaster99, have you failed to notice that no one has yet to ride "X"? Boy, that sounds like a ride I'd clone.

Really?  Magnum?  The Bat?  I can't think of very many Arrows that ARE "overcloned"...

V2 i think is gonna be a wide spread clone cuase of its small size and big thrills.
I hope Arrow comes up with a new 4-D coaster that is longer than X, X is soooo short!

I think that there will be more ROARs and definetly more giant inverted boomerangs.
I'm all FOR more clones of ROAR, but don't count on it too soon, wooden twisters are hard to maintain.  (Maybe Intamin's new construction technique will help there?)  I'd love to see copies of either GA Scorcher or Talon, and LOTS of Phoenices (sp?)...LOL!
