The Legend gets "Two" Changes for 2002

Wonder what will happen with the Gerstlauer train.
Very cool.  My first trip to Holiday World for SRM next year and 2 PTC trains.  Could I ask for anything more?

Christ how do you kids do it
Exciting news. Legend's already an incredibly coaster, but it takes a lot out of you when power riding. I think the PTCs will be a great improvement, as will the two-trains in general (though waits weren't bad at all even with just one train!)

Holiday World continues to be among the best in customer service, and possibly the best at making enthusiasts happy (which we all know is a hard thing to do! ;).

So now Holiday World has gone from my gotta-get-there-sometime to must-go-next-year list. I'm very impressed and I haven't even been there yet!

Question: What happens to the Gerstlauer trains? Can I have one? *grin*

Wow!  Did this come out of left field or what?!  This has to be one of the most surprising announcements of the last few years -- I don't recall hearing even the slightest whisper that this was going to happen.  Very rare these days.

I love The Legend with the G-trains, but I imagine that it can only get better with the PTCs.  And two of them at that!  Way to go Holiday World!  Is there no end to this park's greatness?

This will pretty much put the "E" back in ERT this year for SRM, I should think! Of course, who wants to ride Legend when you've got ZOOMbabwe? ;)

Talk to Denise at CCI -- I'm sure she'd be happy to shoot you a price. *grin*
(One train, btw.)

So that makes 18 multiple train operations on CCI coasters. I just noticed they had 17 the other day, and I had to plow through them and try to figure out which ones had more than one train(too much free time, that's what happens when you get laid off).

So the family(wife, dog) will be visiting my father in Muncie next summer for sure. BTW, he's an attractive older man who would love to find a lady to ride with:), RM are you a single lady(?), hint, hint, just kidding. I couldn't help it, you guys are obviously just that cool.......

Holy Crap. I got enought re-rides with 1 train! I can't wait for 2! PTC's...Ahh the Mustangs of coaster cars;)
Gosh....I'm amazed! This is BIG news. I mean, I knew The people at Holiday World were great, but now they are just amazing. Who would have ever thought. Yeah what ever happened to the bell? I was on the train that Nick or some one pulled it down. I thought it was rather funny.

Does anybody have a picture of a ptc and a geaustleyer or whatever?

Yeah what ever happened to the bell? I was on the train that Nick or some one pulled it down.

Don't worry, the bell is fine. So is Nick.

This is the best news I've heard in a LONG time. Hopefully Holiday World will start an industry trend.

I LOVE YOU PAULA!! you are the bearer of the BEST NEWS OF MY LIFE!

this is so awesome, and my friends said "it would never happen" when i brought the idea up to them before. i can't wait for SRM!

I'm thinking i'll have to change my name to Legend-Phile :-\

Cool, this should improve the ride. I really want one of those old cars now. Not the whole train, just one section. I wonder how much it would be...How do I contact Denise at CCI?

...And ten years from now some 'green' maintenance man is going to say to his boss, "Tell me again why I have to climb up there and inspect that @#$! bell every @#$*!@& day..." :)

Awesome, simply awesome.  What a great present for all us enthusiasts and even the GP.  The Legend with PTC's.  Even though I never had the honor to ride it with the Gerstlauers, I love PTC's so riding it at SRM next year will be all that much better!  Thank you Holiday World and Will Koch, and thank you Paula for annoucning the information.  You guys are awesome!  :)

Being stuck on the west coast, I havent had an opportunity to visit Holiday World (YET). Ghostrider is the only CCI I've had a chance to ride and was wondering if anyone knew what type of trains IT had, so I can make an educated guestimate of the changes.
-----------------
One word...awesome!!!  I can't believe this!  The ride already has non-existant lines, but with 2 trains, it'll be re-rides galore, all the time!  Plus, MUCH more comfortable.  Hooray!:)

I was pretty upset this year st SRM since there was so many people there. This should help tremendously. I never did like the trains and thought the ride would be a mutch better ride with PTC's. What a bonus, maybe now the ride won't be an a** whooping.

PS - Maybe Six Flags will get the idea and switch to the PTC trains.
