I have to be honest when I say that having a little attitude as a crew is part of what makes CP crews so good. Its not only towards other parks. In fact, most of the attitude is towards other CP crews. Each crew takes pride in what they do and strives to be the best. Honestly, Spacecase8310, you can say all you want about caring about capacity, but at most Six Flags parks (yes, there are exceptions) it doesn't seem that way from a guest's perspective.

The reason I say things like that is because nearly every CP employee (or fan for that matter) I have talked to totally looks down on anyone that works at Six Flags. In general they just seem to have a very "holier than thou" attitude. They seem to think that we have no clue what's going on at our park and we don't care at all about capacity, guest satisfaction, etc.-----------------

*yawn*...And why do you care about what others think?...Get over it and move on. It might do you some good.

So how many people did they have working the train? Oh wait, it doesn't matter, cus if CP was single-oping it it'd still be faster than any six flags park I guess, right Po!nters?-------------

So what's the point in associating a park such as SFGAm with the, well slower SF parks? That's like saying CP sucks because the crews at Valleyfair! were slow. (I've never been up dare to valleyfair!, so I might be completely wrong donchano)
My point is just that you shouldn't pass judgement on people because they are not associated with CP. And if I (as well as many others) didn't take that kind of criticism personally, what does that say about us? I've also noticed that many of the remarks are made from people that have never seen us work before, which is also very strange.

Well, when its goes to capacity for rides, there are 5 clear winners: (not in order of importance mind you):
1- Some independant parks (Knoebels and HW most notably): They take pride in running their coasters at maximum capacity, when they need to. They have the best crews when its come to wooden coasters.
2- Europa Park: Yes, very surprising. They got a few high capacity dark rides (Pirates boat ride, Omnimover dark ride among them). Also, a single track wild mouse with an interesting feature: a true elevator lift, that can take 2 cars up at the same time, giving good capacity for a mouse. Also, Eurosat, housed in that familiar looking ball shaped building, lol, is a DL Space Mountain lookalike, with 5 trains on it! Euromir, 6 16 passengers trains...
3- German fairs: Flat rides runned at their structural limits, in manual modes and THE rollercoaster that takes the crown for fastest crew: Olympia Looping. Why? Well, try this... 14 ops checking lap bars and shoulder harnesses... for a 28 seats train! 5 trains operation also.
2- Cedar Point: Let's give them the credit they deserve. They are the best when you talk about traditional amusement parks.
1- Disney theme parks: Undisputed kings.

*rollin eyes*....You are the same person who says you dont care what they think. But yet, you make negative comments about Cedar Fair cause your tired of people talkin about Six Flags? Sounding bitter, perhaps?

SpaceCase, most of the people who diss SF on here haven't been to SFGAm.
All the lil' kiddies who constantly go to SFWoA and CP and no other parks, hop on I 80-90 West for about five hours and see just how well SFGAm is run. It's *definitely* not perfect (lord knows that's true!) but I think all the SF naysayers will be eating their words once they step inside the park.
9 out of 10 people agree! :)

SFGAM is definitely not your typical SF park. Defineitly a world class park and one of my collective "favorite" parks. I love CP, PKI, and SFGAM and I have no idea which one I like the most so I just say they are all my favorite.
Anyway I have never even been to SFWOA but I have been to SFOG and SFKK and their operations were less then stellar in many aspects. The worst being the operation of ticket booths.

I agree and that's why I said there are exceptions. I have been to four Six Flags parks - SFNE, SFDL, SFWOA, and SFGAd. Out of them, SFNE was by far the worst when it comes to the capacity game. Great Adventure was by far the best. It's too bad they can't manage to have all their "most rides on the planet" actually running on any given day. CP is by no means perfect. Even the CP fans had some complaints on opening day (myself included). Check over at GTTP for yourself. Its rare that a ride op anywhere is rude to you unless you're causing trouble. But if you're goofing around hooting and hollering to your friends at the back of the platform, your darn right I'd ask you to move along and get into the train. What might seem rude to you is good for the rest of the people waiting because it avoids downtime (set up) or just moves the line faster. A ride op's primary job function is to get people into the trains as quickly and safely as possible. Any chit chat, friendly small talk, etc is above and beyond the call of duty.
There's a difference between striving to be the best crew and rudeness. I realized the crews at CP were good long before I ever worked there. They do not care about Six Flags - they care about doing the best job they can and they take pride in their work. There's nothing wrong with trying to be the best. Trust me, there was much more animosity between the Magnum crew and the Raptor crew than there was between any crew at CP and any Six Flags crew. Most workers are not into comparing different chains. They are just doing their jobs.

Haha yes, Raptor did take it last year. It was a good race though - both crews worked real hard and it was the guests who benefited. Its tough for Magnum because they get next to no riders for the first hour of every day.
Just to give people some perspective: both rides gave over 2.1 million rides last season.

Matt! Remember our 23,000 riders in one day?? I'd like to see Raptor get that!! I wonder if that will ever be beaten on a coaster with 3train operation at CP. Ahhh good times! Makes me wish that I was going back to CP again!
