When coming into GAdv, you have to cross a bridge over 537 and then you drive past the waterpark and eventually come into the parking lot. Whenever I peek through the trees on that pass through road, and I see chiller's tower or Nitro's peak, I get a great feeling. Also, when i first see Gasm's huge loops on the passroad (I bet great america had the same thing before shockwave was torn down).
I think the entry to any park is designed to make you feel comfortable or at home. The fountains, the music, they're all made to enlighten the senses and make you feel happy!

I get that feeling everytime I go to a park really...
It's especially strong for me walking through my park in the mornings out to our "office" (Shockwave booth), as it seems so big.
I got (get) the same feeling Driving up to any of the Orlando parks.
But the one time that will always stand out to me was my first trip to Cedar Point, opening week, 2000.
I was on a tour bus driving down from Detroit (it was a school trip). As we were driving through Ohio, I was acting like Mr. Bigshot, "Oh yeah man, you won't beleive how big Millennium Force is till you see it.", blah blah. I just happened to look out at the trees lining the highway at that time, and I froze. Off in the distance I could see the very top of that enormous blue hill poking out above the greenery. I did not move or say anything for the next 10 minutes or so, I just stared. As we entered Sandusky, I lost sight of it, and started talking again, but grew very excited. The second we pulled onto the Causeway, I flipped. Every person on that bus must have told me to shut up numerous times, but I couldn't stop talking, yelling, shouting, whatever. I was bouncing in the seat, running up and down the aisle, acting like a three year old basically. As soon as the bus stopped and our tickets were distributed, I ran to Millennium Force as fast as I could. I was still greeted by a 2 1/2 hour line, but it was worth every second (Anyone who felt the energy in the line at the time will know what I'm talking about. Cheering every time a train went up the hill, passed the line, etc. Amazing).
