Tatsu now vertical

I personally think that this year (05) and next year (06) are/have been good decesions coasterwise for SFI. Not too many, and the ones they got were much needed, or at parks that needed that specific type (reliability of Kingda Ka not withstanding).
Matthew, at least they didn't spell it Duol. ;)

I'm not sure if Tatsu will be enough to get me to come back to SFMM. Scream sure wasn't that over exciting and X is NEVER open when I am there (conspiracy against me!).

You should have went to Solace, Swooshy.
/\ Why would he? Knott's sucks. ;)
But X was running the day after and I got 2 consecutive rides. Coulda had more, if we would have gotten there earlier...;).

Considering all of the mechanisms and personnel required for a second station, wouldn't it be a better investment (possibly even cheaper) to make the ride a little longer and include a midcourse brake? Yes, I kow the additional brake would involve additional mechanisms, but I'm guessing the additional track / supports would be cheaper than than another stationo plus staffing it. Maybe not, just a thought. Discuss. :)

That's 45*...same as Millie.
What is it with the steep lifts on Beemers lately?
/\ The answer would be space constraints, Tekno. :)
Even on Goliath I & II (or, technically, IV & V)? Still, I think it looks cool. Less time on the lift hill, more time on the layout. :) Daddy likes.
The Lifthill got topped off today, great pictures @

Hey... there's a tree under the lift... whoa... that's pretty sick. Question, how do one of these B&M flyers run? I mean, I enjoyed X-Flight, and this park is looking more appealing with Tatsu, (even though from what I hear customer service is... missing).

Don't believe all the bs people are talking here about SFMM, it has some flaws, but it is nowere even close to what people are writing here about the place, Tatsu will be an incredible addition, at least i will be looking forward to it!!!

(Waiting for the reply: They have a dual loading station and how long will it be until they wont use it...) zzzzzzzz

Despite my usual rants about SFMM, it's a park worth visiting, especially if you go on a weekday during early spring. It's not until the dog days of summer that the park shows it's considerable flaws. The yearly Rideworld event remains one of my favorite events anywhere. It's unpretentious, not crowded at all, and despite SFMM's much earned reputation, it's one of the few remaining parks that actually likes enthusiasts.

Oh, and Tatsu looks good enough for a trip to SFMM by itself!

There, I said something nice. :) *** Edited 12/16/2005 3:22:44 AM UTC by DWeaver***

Can anyone describe how the track switcher works. I can't for the life of me picture it in motion.
This looks like an awesome ride. Does anyone know of any events that take place at this park?
