Sueing your park?

There are a ton of situations in which suing IS the beneficial thing to do. If you're out of work for extended periods of time or even get fired, do you still feel you are owed no money from the place that injured you? Sure there are just as many frivolous lawsuits as there are legitimate ones but that doesn't make the legitimate ones less important or legitimate. I think everyone knows that suing won't undo the damage but they settlements DO help people pay with hospital and doctor bills.

One point that no one has made. Suing is expensive. Typically the lawyers portion of the settlement is 1/3. If the business, park or otherwise, responsible for your injuries (or their insurer) is not willing to make reasonable compensation voluntarily, then you have to sue for far more than just your direct damages just to break even. Also, you have to sue for enough money to interest a lawyer in representing you. A lawyer isn't going to go to court for just a few dollars. He would starve to death if he did.
