I was also stuck on Spider-Man for about 10-15 minutes back when the park was in its soft opening period. I did get a re-ride in that case.
As for stuck upside down, wasnt the rear of one of the Batman / Robin trains @ SFGAd stuck like that last year?
TTD was built
TTD was broke
TTD is alive
1. SFMM - Superman The Escape, due to an aborted launch, stuck about 20 minutes. Car was pulled back to the station by cable.
2. SFMM - Deja Vu, on media day. The train rose to the top of the first tower and then stopped. We hung there for about 5 minutes before being lowered back down to the station. Everyone stayed on for another ride except for the reporter in the front row.
'01 I got stuck in the recline position on my first ride on X-Flight halway down. That really sucked because then they got us out and we got stuck on the lift.
'03 I was at SFDL and S:RoS wasn't operating too great. It kept getting stuck on the lift. Managed to get stuck twice on that one.
'03 I got stuck on Batman Knight Flight and was taken off the brake run and given free tickets. This was related to a power outage.
'02 Stuck on the brake run in 95ยบ weather on Double Loop. I managed to get stung twice on the arm by a bee.
I think that is all for me being stuck. The rest of my party has been stuck many more times than that. I'm usually not lucky enough to be on the ride when everyone else gets stuck.

Touchdown, I've seen several stories of coasters getting stuck upside down. One was last year on the news but I can't rememeber which.
I've only heard about Demon and then (sorta) Batman & Robin, I believe the train valleyed between the LIM hill and the heartline twist, so the back of the train was partway into the heartline twist.
On the other hand, numerous reports said that Face-Off had riders stuck upside down, but I think that was the media making the incorrect leap from "inverted coaster" to "coaster being in an inversion." There were some people facing down the lift hill to be certain, but nobody was inverted.
On topic again, I haven't been stuck on any coasters, short of a 5 minute wait in the brake run on SFMM's B:TR while they cleaned puke off the train currently in the station. I've seen Goliath at SFMM get stuck quite often, but never been on it when it happened.
Sometime before 1997, St. Louis Arch Elevator, someone opened the door in one of the cars and the elevator stopped for about 20 minutes.
97,
WOF Monsoon (Standard Intamin Leap the Dips), The lift stopped right before the boat hit it.
WOF Orient Express, Twice: once on the final brakes, once halfway into the station, both took about 15 minutes to fix.
WOF Zambezi Zinger, The Electric Lift Ran out of juice and shut off, the had to get 6 or so maintenance guys to push the train to jump start it when the lift got powered back up again.
WOF Timber Wolf, was stopped on the lift a few times for a seat belt check.
98,
WOF Mamba, Lift, seatbelt check.
99,
Don't recall being stuck on anything, All I remember was that I was frustrated that the Orient Express was down for the rest of the 99 season due to a structuarl failer that led to a derailment.
00,
What I remember the most is at SFStL on the Railroad, The Train had to be stoped prior to the Old Chicago Depot because it was running out of water, so it was sent back halfway around the park to the water tower to get filled up. I was frustrated to have and excessively long ride when I was trying to get to the Boss that day before the park closed.
01,
WOF Orient Express: I was stopped on the Orient Express on the Lift about 3 times that season, once for a Shoulder Check and twice for Chain Dog slips in which one time the train failed to connect to the lift. On the ride where it failed to connect to the lift the train was stuck at the bottom of the lift (it did not roll back because of anti rollbacks), I was sitting in the last car so I was pretty much stuck in the tunnel it took about 10 minutes to get a guy to connect the train to lift and send us on our way. After we got started back up we went through the ride as normal where at the final brake, we were stopped again where the maintenance guy went ahead and inspected the chain lift dog, this only took about 30 sec's.
CP Magnum XL-200, Got stopped on the lift for about 20 sec's (Pretty quick to restart). I am not sure why we were stopped then. My only guess is to get the other train ahead clear of the main track block area.
02,
WOF Mamba, I wasn't stuck on it, but I had a close call on it. The close call was the lift bearing was going out at the time I was riding it so when we got to the top of the lift there was black smoke and fumes coming off the top of the lift. I later found out what was causing it to do that, it turned out that the bearings at the top of the lift went out. Mamba was closed down for the rest of the Weekend. They were unsure about the following weekend but they had a crane and it got fixed in time for it.
CP Blue Streak, I have no idea why were stopped on the chainlift during Coastermainia.
03,
WOF Orient Express, I had made a boo boo when I realized I left my Sun Glasses off, so when I was on the lift I moved around to get them put on. What happened then was, the ride ops stopped the lift, because they had thought I had moved my arms underneath the restraint. This is what is noted as a Safety Violation Check up. I knew that is why they stopped the lift and I knew that I was the cause of it so Immediately apologized about the deal (it was quite embarrassing).
WOF Mamba, Ah the safety checks.
WOF Timber Wolf, Got stuck on the brake a few times for mechanical issues. One time it was due to a sensor on the track going wacky and giving false signals which kept on shutting down the computer over and over again, so the Maintenance Guy was already there and got it going right away.
WOF Finnish Fling (Chance Barrel), For some reason the ride panel short circuited and went out. The ride slowly came to a stop and we got severe wedgies. The panel soon came back online and the ride moved to the door position and the floor was raised and we got off.
CC Ozark Wildcat, On my first ride ever on this thing I got stopped on the Chainlift due to some wacky sensor on the track. We were there for about 15 minutes when the maintenance guys got us going again. A few weeks later that sensor began acting up again and ruined one of my visits to CC because, the Wildcat was down. Plus to add to all that The Thunderbolt was down, and the Jack Rabbit was still under construction. There was no coasters to ride on. I just spent the rest of the night on the Bumper Cars.
That is about all of the rides that I remember getting stuck on.
Chris Knight
I have gotten stuck on Beast's lift hill for fifteen minutes. We stopped on Montu's lift one time for unknown reasons. Hulk on the breaks for quite a while. Dueling Dragons on the lift for a reason other than to make them duel.
I think I'd freak if I got stuck on Deja Vu, the lift gets me!
Im also sure that there are more, I just can't remember.
This past summer at BGW my train on Appollo's Chariot got stuck in the brakes. The sun was baring down on us, and it felt like your hair was on fire.
Got stuck on Blazing Fury at Dollywood in 1992. A Ride op came and led us on a catwalk back to the station. After they ran the trains around a few times, we got back on. It was really dusty in the building.
