Yes, Jephry, I do agree with your sentiment, and set forth a sincere apology that my intensity over what people--especially children--have to witness in this world. You are most correct not to make fun of a death.
I will say that I have a friend who put 44 to his mouth--in private--and, by his admission, chickened out as he pulled the trigger, the bullet flying outta the side of his head. He obviously survived, and can talk about it. I guess the point is--he was doing it in private.
Many people choose the "public display," for whatever reason.
Someone really said a key line: Someone was responsible for leaving this individual alone. Someone who knew. This person will have to deal with that.
I still cannot stand the idea that our children are repeatedly exposed to this stuff throughout their young lives.
Well, this has been a thoroughly interesting subject to "kick around," and it is a pleasure to debate with you all--albeit a tragic circumstance. For everyone, nothing I ever argue about is personal; I'm happy when my kids wake up each day, and never let anything such as this forum take ion too much seriousness.
Perhaps we can conclude this subject soon--I see it is also drawing comments in the newsroom.
Meanwhile, I'm back to holding up all you good people's election--I am a Floridian--and a Palm Beach guy (although I read the ballot RIGHT!).
All the best.
