I just love almost every little sound coming from a good woodie be it the lap bar lock & release or the sounds of the lift as a train is going up but I especially enjoy the sound of the air brakes rapidly going off to stop a train in the station for unloading.
Now if I cn only get him to ride with me on Monte, or Scorpion, or Mindbender...;)
;)
Guess Who...
And yes, I should be @ Dorney in May.

The "psst" sound of the LIM catapults in Disneyland's Space Mountain. Also can't forget the speil at the end of the Matterhorn...."remain seated please, permanecer sentados por favor!run.
There were no LIMs on Space Mountain at Disneyland. There are pneumatic pistons. You may be thinking of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, because using LIMs for transporting the trains.

- the sound of wdw's space mountain hitting those magnetic breaks...its hard to describe it just sounds so cool
Actually there are no magnetic brakes at Space Mountain at the Magic Kingdom Park. It was designed in 1972 and opened in 1975. It features pinch wheels that we call "Retard Motors" that engage the brake fin underneath the Rocket Sleds and slow down but not stop the Rocket Sleds. These motors also help keep the Rocket Sleds moving through the two brake runs after the Re-Entry Tunnel and before they reach the unload platform. Smaller pinch wheels advance the Rocket Sleds through the load, unload and dispatch areas.
But the sound the Retrard Motors make when the Rocket Sleds pass through is very cool. ^_^ *** Edited 3/3/2005 11:19:41 PM UTC by SONiC Senshi***
When Rock 'n' Rollercoaster slowly rolls backwards on to the pusher car prior to launch at Disney-MGM Studios.
Getting the Perfect ride on Dueling Dragons at Universal's Islands of Adventure.
Making the right turn into Six Flags Magic Mountain's Parking Booth and looking up and seeing X and Viper.
The smell of the grease inside Space Mountain at Disneyland.
Watching the cable lifts and trains move about on the Deja Vu coasters.
The look, feel, and sounds of a Schwarzkopf coaster traveling through the vertical loops.
Moving into the flying position on Superman Ultimate Flight.
Watching the brakes open and close at load and unload on Space Mountain at the Magic Kingdom Park.
Listening to the ride safety spiels at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and Sea World Orlando. "This ride by its very nature creates forces and speeds that may not be acceptable to some guests...."
The view at the top of the lift on Kraken at Sea World Orlando. If you look to the right you can see Cinderella Castle, Space Mountain, Spaceship Earth, the Hollywood Tower Hotel, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, Old-Town Slingshot and Skycoaster and if you look left you see downtown Orlando and if you look behind and to the left (if you are flexible enough and in back row left side) you can see Doctor Doom's Fearfall Tower, Incredible Hulk Coaster and Dueling Dragons. I forgot to mention the smell of the flowers in spring time.
Watching the Rocket Sleds on Space Mountain at the Magic Kingdom negotiate the track from the top of the lift in the morning or during downtime or anytime the work light are on. Also when work lights are out and I am walking by on the TTA track, the view is breathtaking. *** Edited 3/6/2005 8:45:38 PM UTC by SONiC Senshi***
The sound of the holding brake on V2.
The roar of BM coasters.
Arrow coaster lift hills. Especially ShockWave's. RIP.
The ground hugging turns on Whizzer.
The overbanked turn at the end of Millennium Force.
Whizzing through the Demon light tunnel in the evenings.
Any lift hill that is lit up at night.
Waiting and watching the christmas tree light up on TTD is nerve wrecking.
Waiting to launch on any launch coaster. (FoF, V2, TTD,etc)
The quick "up and over" feel on Batman's last two inversions.
Racing through the barrel on the American Eagle. Feeling the energy build up in the barrel is awesome.
Riding in the last row of Raging Bull and floating off of the first drop feels like an eternity.
Steel Eel's quiet lift and loud disengage off the lift.
Superman Krypton Coaster's first dive off of the cliff. The airtime is phenomenal.
There's more but these are the ones that stand out in my mind.
