According to a report today in The Aurora Advocate, Six Flags officials have approached Aurora, Ohio's city council for a zoning variance so they can build a 200-foot roller coaster on the marine life side of the park. The ride would cross over Squires Rd. and one of the show arenas would have to be relocated.

SFDL dude, i think the coaster they are talking about is Predator. There used to be picnic areas all around that area before they built S:ROS, and the path that goes under Predator used to be a road. I remember driving under it when i was younger.
All I can say is that this ride better have something special about it to go along with its 200ft. I mean with CP just a little over an hour away they already have a hyper, along with a giga. If this isn't a 4-D or a Thrust Air it better be a new concept of some sort it will have absolutly no point. From GPs' standpoint a 220ft Intamin hyper will mean nothing when they can go ride the 311ft. Intamin Giga. But the 220ft. tilting coaster where you get a different layout every time and have a 90degree drop....

Hey Scanz,
if you think this spoiled us here in Ohio, wait till cedar point and kings island announces the coaster plans for next year ! then you may call us spoiled LoL !
Yeah...I live in N.Y., the second or third most populous state, but the only thing we have is S:ROS, and the GE Comet.
I am going to sfwoa this season so i really dont care what happens next season. However if they do get a hyper i would hope it would be B&m because i rode a Morgan hyper (steel force at dorney park) and it was very boring but i rode Nitro at Six Flags Great Adventure and loved it. I am also riding apollos chariot this summer and that will be great. I dont know about arrow but im riding Magnum xl 200 this summer but that looks rough and boring. I also dont know about intamin but im riding superman ROS this summert and that looks great.
Are you hearing this PKI? Take note! You Need A Hyper! And Son of Beast doesn't count! Go get yourselves a nice BM Hyper! Please!

Word to your mothers
what side of the park is Squires Rd. on?? A hyper would work very well for this park as long as it is something special, such as a 4D or tilt coaster... They sure do have a lot of room to expand now.

*Lovin them coasters!!*
The Joys of Summer, OH YEA!!!!
every park needs a hyper, but they, they need a giga
I don't think 4-d would be the way to go. If its me, I go for the Intamin Hyper, just run a great course with lots of air and you put yourself on the map.
I hope they succeed, but I hope they don't remove too many animal exhibits.
Zar:
This newspaper (or a different one) says that they will re-locate the bird show.

NO!!! WHY A HYPER COASTER? GO FOR A GIGA-COASTER!!! I'm just joking, I hope they get a hyper coaster. I live 4 1/2 hours away from there, 3 1/2 hours from Cedar Point, and an hour away from Kings Island. OHIO RULES!!! Just think - Millenium Force at Cedar Point, the tallest, fastest, and longest coaster in the world at Kings Island next year (that's the rumor I heard from employees there this past Thursday), and a new hyper coaster at Six Flags Ohio!!! THIS IS AWESOME!!!

Cedar Point kicks Magic Mountain's ***! MILLENIUM FORCE RULES!!!
Really? Has anyone else heard about that for Kings Island?
