Six Flags Over Georgia today announced Superman Ultimate Flight, a flying coaster by Swiss firm Bolliger & Mabillard. The coaster has been under construction for some time as photos have circulated around the Internet of track sections that have arrived.

How can you blame SF for the seats not reclining properly, delayed openings, etc? That's like saying Deja Vu opened late because SF messed up again.
Please tell me where you came to the conclusion that SF messed up the flyers, not Vekoma? Unless you'd like to include Paramount messing up Stealth as well, considering that flyer is just as big of a headache as the SF ones...

I guess I just accept that prototypes and innovations will come with delays, and thought that Vekoma had really gone "out on a limb" with these things. But, once up and running, I heard very little about "down-time" and PLENTY about the excessive waits...that's what I hold SF responsible for. When you're pounding your chest about the FANTASTIC new ride (and the flyers really were), try to keep the lines moving so everyone can get a couple spins. If you're going to only run one side, don't bother with the dual loading stations...just my opinion...
I DO hold Vekoma largely responsible for the DelayJa Vu fiasco, that was their bad by all accounts.

I was at PGA opening day 2001, which was a Sat., and Stealth opened 30mins late (didn't they have like the entire offseason to fix it? :)), ran one train, and had the SLOWEST moving line ever.
Conversely, I DID wait 1hr 45min for my first ride on X-F, but that was full queue spilling out onto the midway, and loading half of one train with FastLane users. They WERE running two trains and it was Thursday, July 2nd (same day TR:TR was "announced").
Anyway, I think most of the problems with the flyers were Vekoma's fault. Did Batwing every run two trains with guests?
BTW, I agree that Batwing has the best surroundings.

Joe C.: I believe ARROW came up with the suspended coaster!
RGWood: I actually thought the best parts of the Vekoma flyers were when we were on our backs. I guess the "flying" gimmick isnt for me.
Joe Legend: I saw Batwing run two trains exactly ONCE

However some things people complain about is just silly or ridiculous. Anybody looking at the layout of a ride and saying good or bad is insane. The layout has NO bearing on the ride. take Shivering Timbers-the most boring layout in the history of the roller coaster, no theming, no special paint, nothing and yet that ride ranks consistently in the top 5 of every wood poll.
Next-Stats have little bearing on the quality of a ride. Virtually every highly rated wooden coaster is under 140'.
Magnum-which is 1 or 2 in ALMOST every poll is only around 200'
Next-Most people will ageee-comparing unfinished coasters is simply ridiculous.
So let people say anything they want about coasters(please dont rate yet to be built rides), after all that is the WHOLE POINT of this message board.
just my $.02.

You're funny. :)
BTW, the enlargement shows a part of the ride that *could* be in a tunnel, but I think it's the ditch shown in this image:

I'm thinking it will be coming from behind a hill, and not a tunnel. I wish it was a tunnel though!
PS Props to Bob Armstrong for the awesome SUF pics! Hope he can keep us updated regularly. :)
