Why are alot of you people complaining??!!  This is the first B&M flyer to make it to the United States!  I'm thrilled, primarily because I live near SFoG...It's about time we get something truly unique and great!

Whine, whine, whine, thats all you people do around here. Since when did a ride name matter wether the ride was good or not. The layout and the overall ride looks great. Im so exited because my mom and I are planning a trip down there from Charlotte, NC this summer. This will be a great ride and will also give me a oppurtunity to ride Deja Vu and everything wlse down there. Thank you Superman! ( sorry if this post was corny, just felt I had to let it out!)

Yeah, I totally agree, we should just be happy about a coaster of this magnitude being built in the states. And for those of you who complain about the height, well look at the Raven, it is between 95-105 ft. and is loved by coaster enthusiasts. Quit Complaining!!
I wish this coaster was coming to my park.  I would be so hyped up.  Plus it would tack on one more B&M for sfgam.
Wow, this ride seems really cool! I can't wait untill IOA gets theirs in 2003.

No Kidding Jeff about the name, I am really getting tired of Six Flags and their unorginality.  Call it Demondive or Slickrider or Banshee.

But I do love B&M's rides. In fact, I have made the company aware of my venture as well.

We all so how well Banshee went over before, Michael.

The ride is going to be a lot of fun.  My only concern is how long it is going to take for the smarter breed of Atlantians to climb into those seats!

Seems like some are just complaining for the sake of complaining... the logic behind the arguements just doesn't make sense.  However, I will agree with the bit about the name.  The names are getting too generic.  BUT... when you own the rights to a brand (like Batman or Superman) you better get your money's worth!

As for the ride, looks great.  I'm really interested to see what this pretzel loop ends up being, I certainly hope it's something similar to Moonsault Scramble's inversion.

Questioning the name is one thing, but comparing two rides that haven't even opened yet... that's fairly insane.

"As far as I can tell it doesn't matter who you are. If you can believe, there's something worth fighting for..." - Garbage, "Parade"

You can also look at it this way:

I believe the GP can be more "drawn" to a ride that has a unique name that they have never heard before. To many, it can but the mind set that this ride is truly something new and unique. Then again, there are others who really don't care one way or the other.

Then again, maybe I could start a new trend in naming rides:)

Jeff, I couldn't agree more...

John peck.....You took my comeback :)

But I am sure the people in Georgia will welcome the new ride with "Open Arms" :)

My other car is a Giovanola!

I like the name simply for the fact that the initials "SUF" are identical to the initials for "Stay Up Forever", which is a quite excellent and favorite Trance / Techno record label.

Not to mention that this coaster is made the company responsible for the most revolutionary advance in Coaster history, the suspended coaster --> B&M. This is the evolution, of the revolution. Absolutely NOTHING to complain about, even it it were painted brown and named "The Flying Shite Bobs".

Current favorite coasters:
Wooden: 1) Beast 2) Raven 3) Son of Beast 4) The Boss 5) Timber Wolf
Steel: 1) Raging Bull 2) Millennium Force 3) V2 4) Wild Thing 5) Mr. Freeze

The signature feature of SUPERMAN - ULTIMATE FLIGHT comes as riders sail through the first-ever, 78-foot, pretzel-shaped inverted loop, climbing to the top of the large looping figure and diving into a curve which brings them amazingly close to the ground, amplifying the sensational feelings of flying.

Doesn't AIR have one of these too?

Nup, which is why I think SUF has an edge over AIR. The latter is way lower due to height restrictions.

Which brings me to say, "I can't wait for a Hyper Flyer!" :)

Well, while we are on this Journey Kick, I felt that these lyrics would fit well:

James Disney - the pretzel loop does look somewhat similar to the two-inversion element on Moonsault, however the entry and exit is linear, like a regular loop, and not from the sides.  You enter in flying position, drop head first in a half loop.  At the bottom you're on your back.  Then you climb back up into a half loop and into flying position again.

Jeff - Shirley you're not suprised at the complaining and whining going on?  Some people just will never be happy.  Had the park gotten an Intamin hyper, a B&M Speed coaster, a 4thD, or a Thrust Air people would be complaining.  I've yet to make it to SFOG.  I've wanted to go for a long time and this sweetens the deal.

Opps...that's right, you told me never to call you Shirley...LOL!

Lame name. Lame height. It's no taller than the first flying coaster ever, the Vekoma Stealth at PGA.

I don't agree with that at all!  A good coaster doesn't have much to do with height once you're over 100 feet.

Once a coaster's super-sized, the designer has to make the other elements drawn out and less forceful to deal with the extra speed.

We don't need no steenking world records! Gimme a mid-sized, twisty coaster with violent transitions anyday.  A rose with a dopey, warmed-over name still smells as sweet...

...most upset that I actually got people talking about Journey...does the phrase "yesterday's news" mean anything to you folks, LOL.

Arrow Guy, Viper will apparently be in storage for this year.  It's not like SF knows a good coaster when they have one.  I'm still expecting an SFKK installation for this, especially considering their limited space. SFA was mentioned, but they have a shuttle loop in storage...of course, it's not an Anton...who knows, it would be a great addition for one of the new SF acquisitions.

But they definitely will have a good one here!  Well, it's a 5 hour drive, but considering what we went through for ONE ride on Stealth...believe me, the name won't affect the ride one bit, but I have a REALLY hard time believing that originality costs extra.  Whatever money SF may save by buying T-shirts in bulk, I think being "original" would be better for them...especially when you're talking about an innovative ride.

As for the Vekoma flyers, I loved 'em.  Can't imagine B&M making MAJOR improvements, but it will be very interesting nonetheless...SF's operational policies certainly were to blame for whatever bad rep they got, not Vekoma - for the great leap in coastering, I think their flyers were pretty reliable...

Does anyone know if B&M fliers have the same height restrictions as Vekoma's, or are tall people allowed to ride? Or have they not decided yet?
