Six Flags Fiesta Texas announces single-rail Wonder Woman Golden Lasso roller coaster

Six Flags announced today that Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster will open next spring at its Fiesta Texas location in San Antonio. Instead of riding a set of two rails like traditional coasters, its narrow trains would soar along one 15.5-inch-wide steel track. It will be the world's first single-rail coaster.

Loading one rider at a time from a conveyor belt should be more efficient than two or more at a time. I think.

If it were up to me I'd have one gate stepping directly onto the belt. Not eight.
"Next eight riders please" should be the call. No grouping, no seat choosing, none of that. One at a time.

The idea that Cedar Fair doesn't face criticism the likes of which Six Flags does is laughable. First of all, my impression is that Cedar Fair excels, significantly, over Six Flags with regards to operations. That said, I've done plenty of criticizing of Cedar Fair over the years...and I used to work for them. Shoot the Rapids comes to mind. Eliminating family friendly rides to make way for thrill rides comes to mind. The treatment of their seasonal workforce comes to mind. It isn't an either/or or versus world...even though the folks in DC would like you to think it is.
