Single or Attached?

Elissa and I both grew up riding coasters and visiting parks, and it was this hobby that brought us together. We never would have met if it weren't for coaster enthusaists! We both like doing other things also: playing DDR, movies, traveling all over the world, doing online stuff, skiing, cheesy pop music, video editing, playing old nintendo games, and sometimes just doing nothing but hanging out together, but everything revolves around parks and coasters! I feel very fortunate that I've found someone that I can share my hobbies and interests with equally. It took a long time to find someone like that, but it was well worth the wait! =)

We just booked our Europe trip with ACE today! We can't wait! =)

I'll add my name to the list of single male enthusiasts... I have yet to find a girl who likes coasters enough to put up with me. It probably doesn't help when I get excited about things like a lack of brakes on FoF at PKI...

I do have some female friends that are starting to come around. One of them announced one evening that she wanted to ride Big Dipper at Camden Park in the front, middle and back to "see where she liked it best". I think she's already hooked and just won't admit it. :)

"Hostyl1, you said: "The other is a 'wannabe' enthusiast, meaning she likes parks, but never actually goes. I told her that I would kidnap her this year and expose her to CP, PKD and SFA at least (possibly PKI & SFO too)." This girl wouldn't happen to be a certain Superman fanatic? She sure does fit the description."

While everyone knows that I'm helplessly-hopelessly-deeply in love with SuperJewels, and she *does* favor an ex-girlfriend of mine, she was not who I was referring to. Funny that this thread came up a year later. I actually *saw* the 'wannabe' last week....it was a mistake. She's such a better person without any emotional attachment...too clingy for lack of a better word. I *knew* there was a reason we broke up in the first place...

While everyone else is at it I might as well post too.

Like a lot of you out there I am single as well. When it comes to enthusiats, well I have not had much luck at all. There was this 1 (Used to post here, not sure if he still does) but I think I let him "get away" and he has a girlfriend now :(

& Of course there is 2Hostyl, But he is in a whole category of his own ;)

Although I would have asked P (see bio) to marry me regardless of her love/lack of love for coastering, it was awfully nice to watch her embrace something that I had a passion for. Now she's gotten so bad, I get smacked around whenever I attempt to get a ride in on the front. I explained the benefits of the back to her, and now I've created a monster!

"I'll bet that thing hits 5 Gs going through that loop.....faaar ooouut!"

I used to have a girlfriend, she never rode a rollercoaster. I would've liked to take her to SF but she never wanted to do anything after school and during school she was busy talking to her friends instead of me. I have no idea why i didn't break up with her within a couple of weeks.

mine in order of enthusiasm...

Coasters, commercial aircraft, hockey.

His in order of enthusiasm...

Hockey, commercial aircraft, coasters

eh, so it's not a PERFECT match.

WARNING: May be habit forming

Engaged to be married. My fiancee and I adore rollercoasters which is the reason why I first posed to him getting married on one. He kind of faultered a moment, but now is as gung ho as ever. Working on it, keep your eyes open BGW next May!

I am very much attached. My boyfriend is more of a thrill seeker than a coaster fan. He often doesn't understand my fascination with coasters, but he is more than happy to take coaster riding vacations with me. I am very lucking in that respect. Last year we did SFGAdv, HP, DP, Knoebel's, Williams Grove, Lakemont Park, Kennywood, Conneaut Lake Park, and SFDL in 10 days on our summer vacation.

I'm taking it easy on him this year. We are taking a 17 day vacation and we are doing PC, SFOG, 6 nights in Myrtle Beach, BGW, PKD, and SFA. We might possibly hit Kennywood, Seabreeze, and/or SFGAdv also, but it depends on the weather.

Ridden 73 coasters so far. 24 were wood.
Plan on having over 100 in June. Wish me luck.

My how things change in a year, eh????

I am, unfortuanately, single white male 29. Although, I am in a point in my life where I won't even bother starting a relationship with someone who doesnt possess at least SOME amount of interest in the things I love (((Rollercoasters, movies, sports, and Heavy music))).

Remember, folks, Every time you masturbate, God kills a kitten. Please, think of the kittens!

(Still single, the "possible prospect" I mentioned LAST time I posted in this thread came and went, we're still friends. There's ANOTHER (or maybe 2 other) potentials on the horizon, we'll see how this goes...)

I'm sure I join the long list of gay guys riding coasters but my partner doesn't seem to be quite "enjoying" them yet. I took him on S:KC at Fiesta Texas two weeks ago and he actually looked like he wanted to jump off in mid-ride. Needless to say, he made it to the end and I think he'll go again. We're going to SF:Over Texas this month. I wonder how he'll handle Titan.

Greg - That's funny. We use that picture for our desktop wallpaper at home. Sorry about you getting the "F-Word."

Married, and happily at that. My wife is full-on Japanese (like there is anything else), and she hated coasters until last summer, when I forced her on SD2K.:) Now, she regrets NOT riding Tremors and Timber Terror at Silverwood. Oh, well..... This summer??? I am 35 and she is 26, so she is young, and sexy, and that is more than enough for me.

We've changed the website! Check it out!
I am married, but my wife will not ride coasters or any thrill ride. She will ride a carousel or a train ride, but no coasters. While riding the Vancouver Playland Coaster, she played Putt-Putt golf to have something to do.
