AIM: Pritti Kittie
single and not worring about it. When some one comes along I hope he shares my compasion for coasters.
I would be single at the moment. I am trying to attempt to gain a relationship but not sure how its gonna work out. I am currently 19, soon to be 20. And a male. No girl i've ever dated has been that thrilled about coasters. As always I am on the look out for a new found love.
Hostyl1, you said: "The other is a 'wannabe' enthusiast, meaning she likes parks, but never actually goes. I told her that I would kidnap her this year and expose her to CP, PKD and SFA at least (possibly PKI & SFO too)." This girl wouldn't happen to be a certain Superman fanatic? :) She sure does fit the description.
AirtimeSROS... you ain't single no more? Aww... I had my sights set on you but never thought I was worthy enough. :) Just my luck. You snooze, you lose.
Coasterman Mike - who looks forward to seeing Natalie at the next ACE event to reflect on all those great times at MF

I'm getting married this year (hopefully) to my fiance of 1 year. She likes coasters too, but not as much as me! If you look at my profile you can see how she hangs on for her life...lol. I love her more and more every day!

My girl doesn't mind the coaster madness, and she enjoys them way too much to want to start thinking about stats and records and the mechanical workings. We've been together since 1993 (she was 14!) and are getting married May 12, then preceeding to SFA, BGW, and PKD to start off the summer. She doesn't know about the other two parks, yet. If you ever go to Myrtle Beach you've seen us riding the Hurricane, we're there at least every other Friday during the season.......Speaking of the girl, she has a medical condition called Fibromyalgia. It's a chronic pain disorder that prevents her from doing things like riding horses and even being sgueezed too much by me. The nature of her disease is very mental, though. Roller coasting has never caused her severe pain, we may have to stop riding every once in a while, but the overall happiness of riding seriously makes her feel better. After last summer, her first "busy" season, there are huge improvements in overall health. Enough of that, though.......
Hey, off the subject, but perhaps the medical community should be qued in on the theraputic effects of riding coasters for FMS. I also have the disease, and always find once my coaster season starts gearing up, I feel a heck of a lot better. Maybe it's just all the walking and beer. Either way, something to ponder.

I can't believe this! I started this topic over a year ago and it's come back to haunt me!
Fortunately, I'm still with the same girl, and we both still love coasters. Funny thing is, when we met neither of us were enthusiasts!
We went on holiday together in 96, and we went to SFMM and PGA. In 2000 the arrival of Millennium Force and Son of Beast were too tempting to pass up, so we planned our first coaster holiday, and it was great.
In 2001 we took my dad on a coaster trip and he's now a sort of enthusiast as well. His 1st modern coaster was V2. A great way to start!

Nope! Had a long term partner but alas, I am also a single gay man now. I guess I should have known it wouldn't work out when he wanted to watch the high divers instead of riding Raven with me at Holiday World. Sure it was guys in speedos, but come on, you can see that anytime. :)
Thats why it should be closed
Steve, just because this topic is old does not make it any less valid now. It should be kept open.
