SFKK- For Sure Shuttle Loop?

Why not keep the Viper theme as opposed to adopting the Greezed Lightnin' name? They would still save on merchandise costs and they wouldn't even have to repaint the thing. Viper is such a cooler theme than GL. "The coaster that strikes twice...."

Hello - newbie here!

I've had the pleasure to ride SFOG's Viper in both GA and in SFGAm. The excessive braking found on the ride in Georgia did not exist when operating in Gurnee, if memory serves me correctly. I have vivid memories of a much higher and more intense trip up the back spike, ala Monte.

Can anyone else verify this?

Jeff

I never got to ride it at SFoG, and I only remeber that I did ride it at Great America. I really don't recall what the ride was like, other than that it was fun.

I remember that Tidal Wave was heavily braked on your return through the station. It always gave you a bit of a jerk as you came through and yes the front car rarely went very far up the back spike at all.

Wanna Ride A Woodie?

Ok, I was away for a month to calm down a bit, and I'm back.

I remember White Lightnin' at PC, but don't remember if it was flywheel, but I think I remember it hit the back spike some. Anyone else remember?

I'm fairly certain they're going to name this Cigarette: The Ride. This is Kentucky Kingdom, after all.
They should make an Impulse for SFKK that's short in front and long in the back, and name it...Mullet: The Ride.

Brian.....welcome back! rcdb says that PCar's Anton was a weight-drop model, so that would *tend* to make me think it was one that "slid" up the back spike. Monte (oh how I love that ride) ROARS up the back spike, and the airtime on that steep incline is *memorable*.....

Keep the name and theming....Viper: the coaster that striketh thrice!
