SFKK- For Sure Shuttle Loop?

How do people know for sure that they are getting the Viper from Six Falgs over Georgia? Is it officially announced or what?

http://www.rcdb.com/installationdetail2216.htm

Maybe it's sitting on-site.

All I know is that Duane doesn't usually post stuff on his site (RCDB) unless he's sure of it. I'm sure he's been informed in one way or another.

At the ACE meeting on SFOG's season passholder day, GM John Odum wouldn't say anything about Viper, if was going to SFKK or even if it was still on the SFOG property. Hmm...

I wish that SFKK were getting a Inverted Impulse coaster. They would have been better than a shuttle loop coaster. why a ride that was all ready used by another park?

Max, I thought John O. certainly *suggested* that we could expect just what we're seeing....rides being moved, others being refurbished/reinstalled, and a general "clearing out" out the boneyards. Rides are being checked thoroughly to see if they're still operable, and moved to the "smaller" parks as new attractions - all great ideas IMHO.

He did NOT mention Viper *by name*, but we really didn't think he would, did we? I was "pretty sure" he meant that Viper would be relocated.....and SFKK is the perfect recipient!

Have you ridden Viper? I'd take it over Intamin's Impulse coasters any day of the week.

Derrick. Have you had the priviledge and... "honor" of riding Anton's masterpiece known as a shuttle looper?

If you havent, please save your comments until you do so.

If SFKK really wants their "impulse coaster" they can take SFGAm's V2 (which I really like a lot btw) and we will take back Tidal Wave (Viper) to where it really belongs!

Yes I did ride one before. I personally like Impusle coasters because of the holding drop brake. I take them over the shuttle loop coasters any day. Now what buddy boy. I got my own opinion and u have yours.

Buddy boy?? Whatever son. I just asked a question. Had to make sure you werent just running your mouth saying one thing is better than another without experiencing both of them.

Viper Wave is one of my personal favorties. I hope that SFKK actually puts it back into servicebecause that way it's alot closer for me to ride next summer.

Derrick - you better curb the attitude if you want to woo investors for your very own theme park! ;)

Having three impulses within a few hours' drive of my house, I'd certainly prefer the shuttle loop. I've never ridden one.

Give me a good old Anton shuttle looper any day! I miss Tidal Wave (Viper) terribly. V2 is good but I love the shuttle looper.

I as well wish that SFGAm could trade Tidal Wave (viper) for V2. I loved that feeling you got when you sat in that back seat and went backwards through that loop and your stomache tickeled all the way through your chest. Plus, the later years that Tidal Wave was @ SFGAm, it was known to run in most weather conditions! Man do I miss that ride.
My guess is that Mr. Rockstar has been on neither a shuttle loop nor an Impulse, due to the fact that he is 14 and lives nowhere near either type of coaster. Of course, he will no doubt tell me to "step off."

I, too, am greatly looking forward to Viper's relocation. I may have to grab Den and head down to SFKK, since my wife has pledged she will never return.

Send it to SFAW! We can have twin shuttle loopers!

(kidding)

I'm so confused right now. Sorry for being so stupid but - last time I was at SFOG, there were two rides (Keep in mind, I may be wrong) - a shuttle loop and Viper, a double looper. Did I get the names confused.. or what? And which one are they removing to make room for S:UF?

Props to Den for taking all that time to dramatically portray rollergator's stupidity in a sarcastic way. hehe.

RollerJunkie, I hope you're kidding! But in case you aren't, Viper was the yellow shuttle loop located back by GASM. It was removed from SFOG to make way for their B&M Flyer. The double looper you may be thinking of is Mindbender, another Anton Schwarzkopf ride. The park claims it has 3 loops, though one is very much a helical curve that appears to have been the inspiration for Sonny's helix! Mindbender isn't going anywhere, thankfully. :)
