SFGAm riddle

They could always put a tunnel around the track so no one could throw anything and so it wouldn't be distracting to the cars on the highway.
Yeah, but that'd just be an eye sore.

Although it is not possible to build over the highway, Six Flags has a lot of space in the parking lot to build(in my opinion). They could always build parking structures if they are truly running out of space.
they can also buy out all of the houses in the neighborhood next to them. I remember a while back that someone argued that the coast to buy out all of those houses would be less than what SF paid to buy out Sea World Ohio. so if SF really wanted that property, they could get it. however, I think that a parking garage would be built first. perhaps in the overflow lot and then all that would have to be done is streatch the entrance out and/or create something similar to Universal's City Walk.

Do any of you know how to build a sundial out of a pen and a donut?
uh oh, sounds like someone has a case of the mondays.

Bob: Was it you who said they already had a tunnel under the freeway? Well what if they built the parking garage over there and people could walk through the tunell so they could use more of the parking lot for rides.

edit: nice sig, "Peter, What's happening? We need to talk about your tps reports."

I'm not exactly sure if this is true, but when there was talk of what would go on the land across the way, I heard that it would be a water park and hotel and that, to get to those properties, there was a walkway under the tollway. however, that setup doesn't seem very logical espically if SF wanted the parks to be kept seperate.

as for your idea, I don't think that a parking lot would be the best view from your lovely SF suite in the hotel, but if they put the hotel in the current lot and moved all parking for both parks across the way and had shuttles take people from the lot to the main park, that could work. all of this really depends on what they do with that extra land. if they build a hotel, don't expect a huge expanse of concrete to surround it, but do expect some quick, easy way to get people to the main park.

btw, I had actually forgotten about that quote until I was watching Comedy Central and that was on. I was cracking up and thought it should be in my sig.

There isn't a tunnel, per say. But if you go under the tri-state on Washington St....the bridge underneath the tollway is wider than it needs to be and has a opening for a trolly or whatnot, to go back and forth between the two properties six flags owns on opposite side of the tollway. This was done way back when Marriot owned the park, however.

Wow, this thread is bigger than the Cedar Point construction one!

Magnum is Red,
Millenium Force is Blue.
I love Wicked Twister
And Raptor too.

Well, SFGAM is my homepark as it is many other CBuzzer's so what do you expect. The shockwave deconstruction and the disappearance of the east river crawler is much to discuss and speculate about also.

Sworn Whizzer hater because it took Shockwave down

No, Didn't that sticky for the est topics have 16 pages?
I really don't think that an amusement park will put a coaster over a 6 lane highway any time soon. Also, i think that the superman ride will not be the only thing our park will get next year. There is absolutely NO reason for them to take out ERC. The people live it, it fits in yankee harbor, it works well, it is a classic at the park. There has to be something going there. I have always sait that SFGAM will open its doors in 2003 with 12 coasters...
No one at six flags said east river crawler was leaving...it has all been assumed by these buzzers--it's not going anywhere.

I wonder if this is a record for any SFGAm thread? If you do a search you can see the Cp one had teh most at 564 and now this has 574.

Patience is a virtue, coasteraddict. I'll go on the 5th and get some pictures.

Never Has Gravity Been So Uplifting.

Just look at a couple of pages coasteraddict and maybe you will see some pictures of the new ride.

Hopefully there is something going in where Cajun Cliffhanger and Power Dive were as there are no rides, other than the entrance to the rapids ride, right there.

edit-I should be going by SFGAm tomorrow as I am going to pick up a monitor in that area so I should be able to get a few pics of shockwave from the front gate with my digital camera. I'll try the employee entrance to see if I can get some pics of the track too.
