SFGAm Impulse

SFGA were selling Superman logo shirts last season, if that gives any of you guys an idea.
Were they just plain Superman shirts, or were they Krypton Coaster, Ride of Steel, or Ultimate Escape Shirts?

Krazy, regarding an additional themed area behind Roaring Rapids, I think it is HIGHLY doubtfull it will happen ever, or anytime soon. That road is the employee access road and it could be moved, if needed, however, that field is adjacent to many many houses. It kinda acts as a noise/space buffer between the park and the neighborhood. FYI, the park does own that land and I'm pretty sure they own the lake across from Shockwave.

So, why not build there anyway? The reason that will not happen is because of the neighbors that protest each and every ride SFGAm ever attempts to build. Since all the new rides are inside the park, construction moves forward without any problem. If the park wanted to build a hige coaster adjacent to the houses, however, I don't think they would get permission.

At all of the city board mettings, distance between the houses and the planned new coasters is always the biggest topic,

With that said, dont get your hopes up.

Coasters are fun
Coasters are cool
and oh yeah, I like 'em
Isn't the American Eagle pretty close to homes too?

yes, american eagle is close to homes. it is way in the back of the park.

See you in 2001 for twice the fun (hint, hint)
So why can't they just put in a little hill and a line of trees next to the street, build a queue line going over the employee's access road, and build a flying or 4th dimension, or floorless, or something else that's big on the other side of the road, similar to what they did when they added Shock Wave? *** This post was edited by Krazy on 12/23/2000. ***
Think of the homes! Those people would get pretty mad now, dont you think! (yes, a bit of sarcasm there). Like I said, I would love for them to do it but it would be hard to get permission. I don't know why they dont. why not ask "them"?

Besides, shockwave is still very far from any houses. It was built over parking lot. If the park wanted to build over existing parking lot they would have no problem doing that!
