What about taking the condor out and putting in a S&S absolutely insaine or where the space between power dive and CC put in an arrowbatic?

2002- Wishfull thinking has ended, nothing for SFGAM
I think both a B&M flyer and an Arrow 4D are likely candidates for SFGAm, in that order. There is obviously no new coaster for next year. If we get a new coaster in 2003, it seems likely that it would be a B&M flyer to take over Whizzer's space. Personally, I would rather see Whizzer stay and build the new Beemer around it (or build the flyer elsewhere), but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.
There really is a whole lot of room behind/between the Theatre Royal and Roaring Rapids; they'd have to redo some of the area in front (take out some food stands) but it'd be a nice place for a new ride. I don't think it's the right footprint for a 4D, though.
If (when?) we get a 4D, I really do believe it will replace Shockwave. I've stated my reasons above; a ride with low ridership usually doesn't stay.
Before new coasters, though, I'd like to see some new flats. A ferris wheel and a Huss Frisbee would be nice...maybe a top spin.

RagingbullGuy, it's doubtful that the park's management will take into account the pleasure of hearing Shockwave's train "engage the lift hill" when determining its fate.
I know, I'm just saying what I think...

I was bored so I decided to outline a place on the park map that I have noticed and thought would be a perfect spot for a new coaster. The link below is a pic of the outline I put on the park map. I think a Flyer or a 4d could easily fit into the space.

Also while doing this I noticed that Deja Vu is backwards on the park map did anyone else notice that?

Yeah, we've known about the error on the map. The only problem I see with it is that you can't take out Firehouse for a few reasons. Fellow rideops at the park will know why. However, if you are simply saying that you wish to just have it go over the building and not remove it, more power to you! lol :) And, if you incorporate Rob's idea to have it fly over Rapids, that'd be cool, but the only real downside is that it goes right over the midway, and that'd be kinda "dangerous" as you don't see many of the rides going over the midway. The train isn't that bad, and Demon you can't really do too much to the people below. But, other than that, it looks cool! Good job!

"If two coaster trains almost hit each other, why is it called a near miss and not a near hit?"
CoasterDude, that would be alright, but where would the queue line go? I think there are better places a coaster could go without taking anything out. A coaster could pretty easliy wind around Shockwave. I know RCT isn't very realistic, but I made a really cool woodie that went all around Shockwave, through one of its loops and under a corkscrew. How awesome would it sounds to hear not one, but two Arrow lift hills in the same area? I'm thinking a 4D would go nicely there. Whizzer takes up alot of space, maybe a dive machine could intertwine with it. Well, probably not, but it would be awesome if it dropped right through Whizzer's lift hill. My friend had that idea. All of this would not be until 2003 or 2004. All I want next year is Fastlane removed.
Ptboy11, it isn't dangerous having a ride over a midway. Havn't you walked into SW Territory from County Fair? Demon is right overhead. Sure, it isn't inverted there, but it's still right above you. If you want to see a coaster which is inverted over a midway, take a walk in Cedar Point. If it is a liability, you could just add a junk catcher net anyways.

I did make my note about Demon in my post. ;) I have been to CP, but I hope to go this year! But a junk catcher would be a good idea, just flash it up to a bit to make it look nice, maybe make it look like that old half-pipe vine covered thing that used to be in County Fair.

i miss that vine thing, it was cool. I would think it would be a cool idea to have a 4d over roaring rapids and then it could go in the cave also.

ahh... vertical velocity will your crowds ever stop amazing me
how bouts if they take out whizzer and demon and may a new ride using both of those areas? It would give a lot of room any way and with the water by whizzer you could have effects similar to AIR...and then with some of the area that those rides would free up could be used to build a path through the middle of the almighty SFGAm ride circle...I just can't stick to a plan, I get these urges to go on a certain ride and that urge always comes when I have to walk 20 minutes around the park because there is damn path that goes through it!!!

I doubt they would take whizzer and demon out, both of those have been here from almost the beginning. I think those 2, the flumes and the carosaul (spelling?) are the only original rides. SO I doubt taking whizzer and demon out will happen.

Accually, AFL, original rides that I know of would be the Columbia Carousel, the flumes, Fiddler's Fling (Schwarzkopf Calypso 3 model), East River Crawler (Schwarzkopf Monster, not sure which model), Orbit (Schwarzkopf Enterprise 3 model, I think), and Whizzer. The 2nd half of Demon is original, along with the station and lift hill, but the loops are not. Ricochet might be original, but it has moved from where the platform for Daredevil Dive is now (I liked that location better, there was never any line.) Triple Play may be original also. It's colors sure look 70s, which is when the park opened. The Hometown Fun Macine (Scrambler) is probably original too. I don't know for sure, but if it wasn't, that was a sad year when they got a simple scrambler. Also, the Great American Raceway is one of the original 2 car tracks they had. The 2nd was where Roarin Rapids or whatsitcalled is now.

Trbiggar, you are right, the Hometown Fun Machine (scrambler)and The Triple Play , Davey's Dingys, and Whirlygig are original rides that did open the day the park opened in 1976.

Beer, My Baby, and Coasters. Is this a great country or what? ;)
I think there is enough room to build a coaster next to, through, and around the two log rides.

Actually coasteraddict, they might as well just get rid of Yankee Clipper(Ice Mountain or whatever its called now) and build a coaster in its place just like PGA did with Stealth replacing YC. Yankee Clipper is never open and utilizes a decent amount of space. They would still have 3 water rides and be able to add another decent sized coaster.

I wouldn't mind seeing either one of those 2 water rides removed for a new coaster.

I never thought about that, but its true. Yankee clipper is only open about half the time. I wonder why that is. Perhaps staffing, I mean, it take double the people to run both those water rides, and if attendance isn't high, they probably rather just run loggers run.

another plus for them to taking the flumes out would be because they're supposed to build some waterpark across I-94
How old is that waterpark rumor? Thats been going around for at least 3 years.
