SF St. Louis - Anything going on??

SFSTL does have the Q-Bots, I think they are around $15 or so.... but if you choose your days to come wisely, there is no need to get one. SFSTL isn't one of those giant parks in which the lines are always long, most rides even in mid-July are about 10-30 min waits on the weekdays.....
I mostly hang out in the normal part of the park, but a lot of my friends say the water in hurricane harbor is kind of nasty like sometimes littles kids shat and pee in the pool. Although their are some great water slides, and the wave pool I heard is fun.
The water around Hook's Lagoon tends to smell on weekends during peak season, but that tends to happen about anywhere there are large amounts of kids in that type of environment. HH is better than most water parks, but they do need to add some more slides.

Regarding QBots (or as we refer to them -- rich pass) are only needed on Saturdays. Why the heck you would choose to come on a Saturday is beyond me in the first place. Weekdays the park is dead. 3 hours and you can have your fill for the day on Wednesdays during the summer.

"Why the heck you would choose to come on a Saturday is beyond me in the first place."

Well, look like I will be going next Saturday. I'm planning to get there before the parks up and let them spend the entire day there. Look like I will be needing a Q'Bot.

Do they have showers at Hurricane Harbor?

Are they during construction in the area?

And, anything else I need to know?

I don't really recall them asking for hands up on superman

I got to SFA pre-May 1st this year (pre-SFNE accident) and can confirm they were asking for arms up on SROS. I told a coaster buddy and her response was "that'll last until the first hot day of the summer". Yech!

Now, a SFStL question... I know no one in their right minds goes to any Six Flags on a Saturday in summer. But we are flying in to STL late on Friday 7/2, and fly back out 3pm on Monday 7/5. This leaves our two choices for SF a Saturday or Sunday, the 4th of July. Whichever day we do not go to SF we plan to drive to Branson. Which day do you think will be worse? I do realize both are likely to be awful, but it's what is available to us.

That is a tought one CK. You are going to hit crowds at both places due to the weekend. I would guess that SF would be calmer on the 4th, especially if you get to the park early in the day.
Saturdays are pretty insane, but just make sure to start your coaster riding with Batman first ,as that line fills incredibly quick. Also, if you want to go on the Scooby dark ride, prepare for at least a 1/2 hour to over an hour wait, it is incredibly popular.

My only beef with the water park is on the hot days I was there, they were not watering the cement, so if you are wandering from one park to the other, you have to burn your feet while hoppnig from one shade tree to another. They need to do a better job of making sure the cement is wet for walking, since most people go barefoot after they put their stuff in the lockers.

Besides that, the water rides are fun, and the lazy river is actually fun. The wave pool gets very crowded, and is pretty weak, I didn't spend much time in the wave pool, it was too boring.

Hurricane Harbor has showers to the left whenever you enter the water park area. The crowd in the water park will depend on the weather, if it is hot it will be packed on a Saturday.

By construction I'm guessing you mean road construction?, no there is no road construcion going on anywhere around Six Flags St. Louis any more.

Its all clear from St Louis City to Six Flags on I-44, no recent construction. Since I am assuming thats the highway you are taking to get here.....
I-270 is a different story though if you are wondering about construction in town. Where are you coming from? There is also construction downtown around Busch Stadium area.
I will be coming from I-55 South.

Didn't mean to ruffle feathers, you should know BY NOW (after over three years of my *shenanigans*) that I'm basically a goofball having a good time...that's why I used this...:)

Besides, SFStL was my 3rd-rated SF park, behind ONLY the one in Chicago and the one in Hotlanta...but you MAY fall out of bronze-medal position to one of the TX parks in the next few weeks, so stay tuned...;)

In response to rollergator, although SFSL may not be getting any new rides this season, my feelings about it could be summed up by borrowing a quote from Fountains of Wayne, "Six Flags has got it going on." If no one understands that reference, that is understandable. What I am saying is that the park is really starting to develop the potential that it has had for years and everyone is really excited about it. I think that most enthusiast know that one day they will click on this post and be pleasantly surprised to find a new coaster is on the way.

Mr. Freeze Op 2005

Well I hope everything will be ok. I told to bring their bathing suits if they want to, since Hurricane Harbor is free with the admission ticket.

BTW, how much are lockers?

bump, maybe someone knows the answer to my question.
i beleave they are 5$ with a 5$ deposit. Total cost is $10.

Well, today is the 33rd anniversary of Six Flags St. Louis......
