Can we save ^^ post as the best all time pointless,
Well hold on a second. The "I don't have time for this" part followed by another 2 paragraphs of ranting (which he actually edited in after the fact) was pretty frickin' gold if I do say so myself. :)

Less days open usually equates to less people visiting, thus, a drop in attendance.Days open is not directly proportional to yearly attendance. It's not that simple.
True, but, I did mention other reasons why I feel attendance will be down for 2007. That just happens to be one of them. Still, cutting days usually does not help with attendance. It may help with budget, though, especially if those days were financial 'losses' for the park. And I'm sure that's why they were cut. I'm not questioning their financial reasoning for what they did. But, it does affect overall impressions with the public as negative, especially with the media's help.
Kennywood is trimming their schedule slightly and raising admission prices as well, but, I'm betting that they're attendance will remain close to what it was for 2006 as they're not removing a major ride like X-Flight. They are also much stronger in group sales and school picnics than Geauga Lake is, which helps immensely in keeping crowds returning year after year. And when they do remove an attraction, they usually replace it with something of either equal or greater drawing power.
Now, if Geauga Lake were to add something new for 2007, then, I would say that attendance could stay about the same, or even possibly increase. But, right now, it doesn't appear that will happen. Now, if something major is added for 2008 (and I'm not even necessarily suggesting a coaster), then, we might see a turnaround or stabilization for the park's attendance. Although GL received a new wave pool for 2006, it wasn't enough. They just replaced a previous wave pool, thus, it was not a 'new' attraction for the park, per se. I don't think it excited the public as a completely different new attraction would have done. I really feel that any future addition to the park needs to be in a different direction than what has occurred in the past and what Cedar Point offers. More family oriented rides like an interactive dark ride, water rides, newer style flat rides, family style coasters, and/or more additions to the water park would certainly help, in my opinion. But, the removal of a major ride without any sort of replacement will certainly not help the park's attendance for the coming season.

Can we save ^^ post as the best all time pointless, unprompted, no one cares, no one's going to read it post of all time?
lol, I knew I'd get a rude response from someone but yours actually wasnt bad. Sure you can do that;) It'll be an honour to have the worst post here i guess..:( I guess I'll never post something to that extent again cuz now ii obviously know it can't be done (Atleast by me), but I KNEW people would mock me about it. But its all good.

Hey, you're 17? Congrats. You know so little you can't even comprehend what you don't know. Keep up that attitude though, that'll go far in college, on job interviews, etc.
If you were serious about it, thanks. If you meant that in a nasty way(which im sure you rpobably did) then I dont know what to say and im not going to even start being a little b*tch about it. I've realised not everyone will like you in life.. and i guess it's not really my loss. But thanks bud, however you meant that(Rude or not). Oh, a JFYI i actually know alot and am an honour roll student (Obviously not the BEST) but i do have an 89.8% average and I do know alot. Im not trying to defend myself cuz you said im a dumbass(hell, id admit to it, i already addmited my post was sh*t) but I just I can't be bother to properly write an essay for the internet or to take the time to make sure EVERYTHING is perfect If you know what I mean?
Yea, so what was that we were talking about before the kids acted up?
Well Yeah, I'am a kid and if I was too young to post here I think you should up the age minimum from 13 to an older age where "kids" arent aloud. And how the hell am I a kid, I'm actually a teenager, you know, six flags babysits me(NOT TRUE, I actually go to parks WITH my family, and then I do go with my friends however we WAIT in line, and arent the little trouble makin sh*ts you might have at your home park). IM an honour roll student and Im actually more mature for my age then all the other guys who are all just about fun and games but thats besides the point.
Alright, I'm sorry for being a kid, and im sorry for not being old, but how the hell can you be so quick to judge people on their age. If you went back and read my post I actually said in it (THIS POST OBVIOUSLY HAS MISTAKES AND ISNT PERFECT, SO IF U DONT LIKE IT, DELETE IT).

Hey, I don't mean to doubt post or anything but why would you put what I said in your sigature? Just to insult me maybe? Obviously.
P.S actually the part I edited in was that nice big chunk (Paragraph's, 6 & 7) from "K, IM DONE...." to "...actually took the time to read this:)"
That last thing about Geauga Lake recovering was supposed to be under the paragraph ending in "..Very Cool". I guess somehow i didnt realise what I did. Imm just going to fix that big post (NOT EDIT A SINGLE THING, EXCEPT THE ORDER OF THE PARAGRAPHS IN WHICH THE WAY THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE) Even with that done, Yes I Know, It will still be a the Worst, Boring Etc. Post Ever. But, Hey that's cool.
You know something....the recipient park has to pay for the shipping if I'm not mistaken.
IIRC the three SF parks that recieved coasters from the demise of SFAW did & what's worse is that those coasters are still sitting in fields or parking lots a whole season later with no signs of ever being put into operation anytime soon.
Coasterkid85: How about you go get your diaper changed and go play in the sandbox.
If I were gonch, I'd change the name of the thumbnail on my own site, and then make a low-file-size huge image with the old name that says "I'm an immature moron and steal bandwidth from coasterimage.com"
Oh, and you're wrong about the park it's going to. Sorry to burst your bubble. I'm sure if you email dick kinzel and tell him to change the plans, though, he'll listen to you. After all, you know more about rollercoasters than anyone. So you'll be able to make a better decision than the man behind one of the most successful amusement park chains in history.
Ooo, you're an "honor roll" student! Whoop-de-freakin-crap. How many of the folks on here who are all interested in a hobby very much based in physics and mathemetics, not to mention business principals and stock market mechanics do you think WERE NOT on the honor roll in school? If you'd like to get particular, I had a 98% average, was on HIGHEST honor roll, National Honor Society and that was all while I was a overly excitable high schooler who still didn't have a clue how the real world worked.
Being a "kid" has nothing to do with your age. There are certain other folks around here, including one who has posted in this thread who I know to be at least over 25 and I still consider them a "kid". It all has to do with the level of maturity, logic and thought you put into your responses and your method of dealing with people. To put up your "dukes" and start tossing insults and what to your mind are "impressive" stats about what you do in school as if they mean anything to anyone here is the DEFINITION of immaturity.
You want to see someone who's less than your age and yet would show you up every single time to bat? Check out Kyle Fobe. That's maturity. When you can approach his level of logic and reasoning, come back and try to tell me why Six Flags did not cause Geauga Lake's problems when in 1998 the park was profitable, well known, well respected and well attended and by 2004 had gone through 3 name changes, 1 failed acquisition/merger, 4 coaster additions, lost attendance, operated at a loss, had/has a horrible reputation, and this dramatic turnaround happened under who's management? That's right "kiddo", Six Flags. No matter what the reason, if you're holding the "smoking gun", you're at fault, bottom line.
I had the same problem withe people stealing bandwidth until I did that with my site.

Well I'm sure CF hopes so. Didn't seem to work for CF at GL though. I remember two to three hour waits for that during the 6flags years. *** Edited 11/25/2006 3:29:31 PM UTC by FLYINGSCOOTER***
