Praise from Dawn. I must be doing something right today.

"I count racers once, duelers with individually named tracks (Fire/Ice) twice."
I have no problem with that method even though I count more conservatively than that. My biggest gripe is with counting relocated coasters or when there's a minor change [trains backwards, for example].
And Bass and I never agree on *anything*...right Bass?

Duelers/Racers: If they are named separate AND have different layouts (and mirrored images do not count). Dueling Dragons Fire and Ice are two in my book, Lightning Racers Thunder and Lightning are one in my book.
Changed coasters: Major / drastic / reconstruction type of changes I would count as two, minor changes I would not count. Phantom's Revenge is a different coaster than Steel Phantom (it just recycled some of its elements) and I could as two... Jokers Jinx at SFA with out OTSR's is really the same coaster as it was with OTSR's so it is one coaster. A coaster with a slight reprofile of a hill or a drop is also the same coaster in my opinion. And no, Re-theming doesn't count either.
Travelling Coasters: I tend to count these... but then again, I have only ever really rode one (Reithoffer Shows Flitzer at the York Fair).
Relocated Coaster: I have ridden a few relocated coasters at one of their locations (either before or after a move), but I have never ridden the same coaster at two different locations (before and after its move). Again, with out any MAJOR rebuilding (i.e. some elements may be reprofiled slightly to adapt to certain terrain), I would count a relocated coaster only once. IF major changes are made (drastic reprofiling, enclosing possibly, or what ever), then I may consider it two. Again, it is situational.
These are just my completely random thoughts. It's up to the individual when you come right down to it.

Kind of hard to take a post as objective if a park or coaster name is part of the "user name"
