"Rollercoaster" on AMC December 11th

I watched most of it yesterday, but there's some parts that I missed. I missed everything started from when they went to King's Island up until they were at the park (I couldn't tell which) where Hoyt had the briefcase full of money and he put in on the bench. What did I miss?

Thank you in advance.

Well, you must have been watching a different movie, as this movie visits Kings Dominion. :)

Also that was Harry Caulder putting the suitcase full of omeny on the bench, then walks away from it, then very nervously looks back to find it gone.

When you say they visited KI, are you reffering to the dark ride fire (at Wonerland in "Pittsburgh"), or had Hary already gotten the phone call "Is this Hary Caulder?" " Yes" "I think you'r enetitled to a vacation" etc. Then Hoyt meets Harry at his apartment and the next thing you know, if AMC played the movie right you have the strange calipoe music with the downwardly spiraling shot of the Eiffel Tower at PKD.

Help me where exactly did you leave off?

That movie stinks. IM so sorry to say, but it is so borning like some have said it is only good becuase it shows old park footage other then the the whole topic of the movie was boring for me.
Ah, okay, Dominion. I was doing something else. I saw the Eiffel Tower and I saw the Racer. I'm not too familiar with PKD though. The last thing I saw was the terrorist guy at the top of the Eiffel Tower and put down his camera to look through the telescope. Then I had to go out for a while. When I got back, Harry had the briefcase in his hand and he was talking to the terrorist on the radio.
I really hate this movie. I saw it once on Cinemax, and I swear, I will never watch it again. It was so boring.

WHAT'S THE MATTER COLONEL SANDERS? CHICKEN!?

Okay, Kings Dominnion has a similar but not exact copy of Racer which they call Rebell Yell. The key difference is the two tracks don't split off until right at the turnarounds.

In case you missed it the whole premise of the scene was the passage of the money filled briefcase from Harry to the terrorist, who is never named in the movie. The terrorist knows the park is staked out, and whatever, so he sends a courier to deliver a package containing a two way radio/bomb to Harry in the park. (Since when do couriers deliver packages to amusement park guests in the park) Of course the radio uses an illegal frequency the feds can't pick up on their high tech equipment. The terrorist then wears the feds out by sending Hary on a battery of rides and games all the while trying to wear the security forces thin. He finally gets Harry on the skyride, where he tells Harry the bomb is in the walkie talkie, and gets Harry to signal to the feds that he switched suitcases. All the security forces run to the Skyway platform in Candy Apple Grove (PKD's Coney Mall like section) while the actual suitcase swipe (not switch as predicted) takes place in an over crowded kiddieland.

Another funny moment is the on-ride photo for Rebell Yell. Recall ths was shot in the 1970's. They have a simple booth with an attendant armed with a 35mm still camera with a real long telephoto lens. Yet he manages to sanp a perfect pciture AND gets it developed in the time it takes the train to return to the station and Harry to get out of the train and walk down the exit ramp.

Then there is the fact the terrorist plants the bomb on the Ocean View Rocket on the inside of the track rails. I.E. right where the upstop wheels should be riding. et the coaster completes several laps as the park opens at noon, and the coaster is 'blown up' in the evening after dark hours.

Rideman knows another continuity error involving the Ocean View Rocket. I forget exact dates but when Harry chats with the older man who sweeps the ground he says he has been there for something like 40 years and nothing like that had ever happened before. Then in the park offices (where you can see the carousel's bandorgan has been moved from the Carousel to the park office area) the Rocket is intorduced as "Harry, you know the rocket, safest ride in the whole park, 50-somethig years and not a single accident.. Okay the coaster is in its 50's, the old man's tenure with the park is in the high 30's, low 40's, and the cincher. "He's an old man, we carry him because he has been here since the park opened" Either the coaster pre-dated the park, or they made a goof up.

You are forgeting that upstops are only in contact with the rails when there are negative G's. I don't think that would be the case on the turnaround where the bomb was placed.
Yeah, but the upstops aren't 3+ inches below the track giving enough clearance to pass the bomb. Plus bouncing would around a turn the train will still go up and down some.

I watched it the other night, but it still wasn't quite as good as when we watched it at the Con with the "Sensurround" In any event I really like the movie.

I was at my parents' flipping through channels when I saw it was on. I then had to explain it all to my mother. :-) She really got into it.
