Great Coasters International estimates that repairs for VisionLand's Rampage roller coaster could cost $2.5 million, according to a proposal submitted to Themeparks LLC, which lost in a bid against Team Pro Parks to buy the troubled park. Team Pro Parks says they estimate repairs in the amount of $200,000 to $400,000.

There are others sites that I have supported, and will continue to support as much as I can. But I can't support or condone the haughtyness, rudeness, and all to much willingness to slam and insult others shown by the owner of this site and his friends. Really sad that he thinks that so many think they build community by tearing others down, but that's so common and frequent here it's to be expected.
Sorry you ended up their target this time Chris. Now it's waiting to see who the next one will be.
Please do not confuse me with the guy who gave you all those swirlies at your local high school. Nor an I the guy that kept kicking you in the back whenever you were busy at a urinal...that was your uncle Raymond. I know--I hate to have to have told you the truth at a time like this. But he'd start with that silly grin of his and then I'd start laughing too...
People don't have to know each other at all to agree or disagree on something. Jeff and Peabody were showing the cracks in the consultant facade long before I even bothered to have a look-see myself. All of the so-called herd agree, disagree and debate amongst each other. Matter of fact, Jeff just got done calling me a 'jerk' fo rmaking fun of him a couple of weeks back. So what?
The 'herd' mentality story is the silliest thing I've ever heard of. If you say something dumb, you say something dumb. When I make a statement that isn't correct, somebody says "Hey, you goofed up!" and I say "D'oh!". That's about it.
The real problem might stem from your own feelings of inadequacy and lack of self-confidence. What strangers say on the Web sure as heck doesn't define me at all.
Now on to this 'consultant' deal....everyone that puts up a web site to sell something either has a catalog of available products, a list of people they've sold products to, bios and credentials of their personnel or a combination of the above. Many E-savvy individuals post online resmues even when they're already employed. Why would anyone privately ask you about your 'products' via E-Mail when every post you removed publicly urged us to visit your website? Why would you suddenly get hush-hush about specifics and details unless there were none to give?
But since you maintain this isn't a sham...here come more questions. Why aren't you displaying at IAAPA? The guys who sell banners and flags are...Breyers and the Dippin' Dot Guy will be there. You're selling coasters and you're not pitching product at the show?
You wanted to be publicly admired...so answer the questions publicly too.

The greatest irony about the people who don't get it is that my favorite contributors here are probably the people I agree with the least. If I had a dollar for every time I wanted to reach through the Internet and smack around Hostyl, Playa, Natalie and some others, the site would be ad free and I'd be rich.
But I disagree with them and we trade blows, then we shake hands at the parks or at parties. Why? Because no matter how much we disagree, those cats are who they are, black and white (if you'd pardon the pun), and not apologetic. What you see is what you get.
Those, my friends, are real people. They don't try to be more than they are or try to win people over. I can identify with that. If you can't handle that in real life, you should probably stay away from the Internet. Just as every phony is amplified, so are the strong personalities online.
'Playa touches on something else that gets under my skin. Why is it acceptable to be stupid on the Internet? People will post anything online, and do so with complete disregard for language. They'll make stuff up, just for the attention.
Willow: Your assertion that I "build community by tearing others down" is total nonsense. Welcome to the freakin' Internet. If you put something out there, you sure as hell better be ready to defend it, because you're putting it out there for the whole world to see. I'm not always right, I don't agree with everyone and that's that, but I'll defend what I think with logical arguments or a simple, "that's my opinion." I don't hide behind anything, I put myself out there, "warts and all" as they say. I put my resume, my photos and my personal feelings out there everyday. I don't care if you like me or not, but I'm not some freak who makes stuff up, I give you what I am. Nothing more, nothing less.
Have a nice day and go support whatever site you want.

Ah, the world would be a much better place if we all followed the teachings of Homer Simpson... ;)

Peabody - Smacking himself for having to miss the season premere last Sunday!
Thanks for listening and that's my opinion! :)
Danny, who hopes that with whatever happens, Rampage will reopen in the near future!
Have you compared its content to say, the Gravity Group, S&S, Arrow, anyone else who's selling product? There's no substance.
I did nothing more than raise some particular questions and zip--he started to disappear.
If you could still view the entire thread--all of his full-caps rants at Jeff to COME DOWN HERE WITH THE REST OF US etc., you'd see nothing we did was out of bounds. Frankly, he opened himself up to get smacked around a lot sooner.

I know you were simply asking questions and I saw/see nothing wrong with that at all. I didn't see you make statements that he was this or that (without knowing all the facts), so it's cool with me! :)
Thanks again!

WOOD: It does a body good.
>Personally, that is bull! The trains were broke completely down in the maintenance shop not sitting outside!!! This info is from the fact that I worked for Visionland in both the 2001 and 2002 seasons. I personally saw the cars they were in. Each individual car (which there are 16 per train) were broken down into about 30 major pieces and about 200 nuts and bolts. So the fact that a lot of repair will go to cars is bull, sure they might do some repairs on them but they were not left outside in the harsh weather. Most of the repairs most likely went to replacing wood and track and fixing the hydraulic brakes which had notbeen in operation for over a year!
